That twitter "wind up" concerning the £8 million transfer of Shawcross to Everton means that £8 million has now become Ryan's value to those Bloggers like the numpty who wrote this. I'm sure if Ryan WAS available at £8 million, the queue of clubs trying to sign him on deadline day would have stretched all the way round the car park at Clayton Woods! The internet is a wonderful thing but the downside is that it only takes one daft comment to be believed by someone with a laptop and time on their hands and it wings its way round the word as a stone cold, nailed on, FACT. The ramblings of an idiot!

This article shows the downside of statistics, the pass completion they are using to criticise Shawcross, will be largely explained by the fact that he is required to make loads of 30 yard attempts that most of these others don't. I bet if they had a statistic for the most 30 yard passes completed he would come top.

Yes, it is ironic that Crouch has some of the best stats for headed duels won in the Premier League - and most of those duels arise from long balls from Ryan!

BUT is it a long hoof or a beautifully flighted pass? That depends if Stoke or the shit do it.

Watched the Portsmouth game and Butland never kicked the ball long everytime it was passed to Ryan and Ryan only twice hit it further than 20 yards. Ryan must of made about 100 passes that game without one not been completed. I know it was against poorer opposition but a pass is a pass, whether it's on a park football pitch or at wembley it's all to do with what pass is available and what the manager instructs the CB do when they have the ball

Anyone who thinks Shawcross can't pass is a moron. Always has been, always will be.

I remember that mad rumour that went round that Lakeland Potter wasn't married to Monica Hartland when, in fact, their diamond anniversary is just around the corner. I just hope the club has something lined up to mark the occasion for John and Monica, surely the club's most devoted, long-standing and prominent supporting couple.

I think there are a lot of keyboards with the number two key that isn't working. It needs sorting.

Shawcross has remarkable accuracy with his long passes which invariably reach their target. I have noticed this for some time. They are not usually hoofs.

qpr aside mark hughes knows the transfer market hes been at blackburn when they got the likes of roque, samba and bentley on the cheap and even though he didnt sell th eplayers they went for good fees.
he knows the worth of his players and i cant see him letting any of them go at the wrong price, maybe after the thread on transfer deal sheet deadline day we didnt the club and sparky enough credit for knowing true market value.
players like shane long etc have now moved the bar on transfer fees, in the past we sold low because we had too, not any more, coates is too shrewd

The club were going to offer us season tickets for life. But that might not be for very long so we are trying to negotiate for a cash settlement in lieu - but, as ever, Tony Scholes is driving a hard bargin!

I'm sure it was Fernandez splashing the cash - way beyond what was sensible. They must also offer huge wages to have attracted the likes of Loic Remy. No way would he have joined QPR unless they were offering way over the top on wages.

Where has the £3m figure for Bojan come from too? Sky were quoting it on deadline day, when Mark Bowen said he cost less than a million. Is it £3m including add-ons?

Where has the £3m figure for Bojan come from too? Sky were quoting it on deadline day, when Mark Bowen said he cost less than a million. Is it £3m including add-ons? We've heard no mention of add ons - although there will almost certainly be a sell on clause. For some reason £3 million got mentioned at the time he signed and most of the press have stuck with it despite Bowen's denials. I think we've actually sold players this summer for more than we paid in transfer fees - and that is certainly a first for us in the Prem. However, as the club often says, there is no such thing as a free transfer once you take signing on fees (and agents' fees?) into account.

It is 1.8 million euros for Bojan. From a press conference Andoni Zubizarreta did who is their director of football.
