Heard it's bullshit. Something about our valuation for Shawcross being £20 million so I imagine £8 million wouldn't cut it even slightly Negotiations and the players' desire to leave could see clubs meeting halfway.

Everton have got 1 chance of Champions League football....no fucking chance! Everton couldn't afford Ryan have paid 28m for Lukaku. Europa League winners get a place.... Exactly. They've got no fucking chance of Champions League football.

Everton are much much more likely to be in Europe and have a decent chance of champs league there's no contest on that front, we wouldn't want to be breaking our wage structure so I think they could offer better than we'd be willing, it would be a very good step up. Everton have got 1 chance of Champions League football....no fucking chance! Everton couldn't afford Ryan have paid 28m for Lukaku. Thats about the same chance as us and Europe then If they want him enough they'd find the money. I'm not saying its true, I'm just disputing what you're saying about it being a sideways move.

Surely MH will not stand for this and we need to keep him too. A bit ott maybe just hope that this is all speculation. More chance of a new player in

Coates wouldn't even blink until something near £20m was on the table.
So, from that point of view, I suppose we have to be relaxed.

I like Everton mate and have often said that people don't appreciate what a big club they are. However, for reasons mentioned above, for Ryan it would be no more than a sideways move. Shawcross is good enough to play for a top side. He'd stroll into Manure's, Liverpool's, Arsenal's and even Man City's back 4 on the evidence of yesterday.

Cannot see this hapenning tomorrow. Stoke player under contract. We don't need to sell. We tell Everton (and Ryan,if necessary) that this is a non-starter. £8 million? Not a flippin chance in hell, my friends!

Anyone suggesting going to Everton is a 'sideways move' clearly hasn't looked at the league table for the last fifty or sixty years.

The main reason I can't see this is the simple fact that we don't have a replacement lined up.

True - I think he'd be foaming at the mouth for Man Utd and not quite as keen, but still well up for Everton. But, still, I think his desire to move would only become a clincher for Coates if we were pushing towards the big 2-0.

It's a massive kick in balls if he leaves. I'd be gutted. Call me daft but I wouldn't sell for any money. I don't think any of US would but I think the club would if we received a good enough offer sadly

Everton haven't got that. They were skint 2 seasons ago chasing kenwright up the car park. They've spent theirs. Also I don't believe ryan would want to go.

Anyone suggesting going to Everton is a 'sideways move' clearly hasn't looked at the league table for the last fifty or sixty years. That might mean something to us but the only thing that matters to a player is the here and now. Ryan will not go to Everton unless they pay what he's worth and they couldn't afford what he's worth. They've tried to sign him 3 times before and failed. Ryan hasn't agitated for a move before so why would he now?

I would have semi-believed it if there was a '1' in front. But if Homzy has heard two are seriously after him, it's a big cause for concern.

I have a horrible feeling United will try their luck!! How horrific their defence is right now I can see Sir Alex putting in a recommendation...... and I think they are one of the very few that he would leave us for! The same Sir Alex that sold Shawcross, kept Johnny Evans and signed Smalling and Jones? Reluctantly sold him because he said he wanted to join us

Spoke to a producer at Talksport and the time he was at work when the rumour came out Talksport never mentioned Shawcross, so who really started this rumour as it was not Talksport
