Can anyone remember a better first goal for Stoke City than Diouf's yesterday?

The opposition were less prestigious, but Beagrie's first for us was a bit of a cracker.

Arnie at Old Trafford was good but not as good as Dioufs.

I have a feeling robertsons against newcastle was his first and he started 30 yards further back than Diof and in the corner nit to say yesterday's wasn't a brilliant effort on a bigger stage at a crucial point and more important shoved it up the football no nothings on here who wanted to give him a plane ticket

Greenhoff's was a cracker in front of the Boothen. Can't remember who the opposition was.

Dave brammer's was probably a pile driver because that's all he scored.

Did Assaidi score in the cup before that Chelsea goal? Birmingham? Yeah I think you're right. That 4-4 draw we won on penos.

Goodfellow scored a screamer
Oulare scored the most important though

Was Glenn Whelans first goal that sweet volley against Palace when Moses & Soares tore us a new arsehole? Or had he scored before that?

Oulare's was the most important Arnie's was great but ultimately meaningless Diouf's was brilliant and the winner away at the champions so of the ones I've seen it gets my vote

The best in my lifetime was Dave Kitson's penalty against Real Valladolid in pre-season 09/10.
A thing of beauty is a joy forever.

Mike Sheron's first goal was a 20-yarder into the top corner against Crystal Palace, I think. Can't remember if it was on his debut or not.
It was at the Vic, and we lost 2-1.

Cameron at arsenal I thought was a good one, but the match result was horrible. Was Whelan's stoppage time goal against villa his first for the club? Of course bego had a nice one last season too

If you're thinking of his screamer in the League Cup against Charlton in the away tie, that wasn't his first. Worthy of a mention in any list of Stoke goals for all that.

Toddy Orlygsson Ally Pickering Cliff Carr
A lot of players on this list peaked with their first goal.

Brendan Richard O'Callaghan. You beat me to it! As I recall Big Bren came on as a sub when Stoke were awarded a corner. There was anticipation amongst the crowd as the giant of a man trotted into the penalty box. Over came the corner & Bren headed home with his first touch.

From vague memory Mikkael Hansson's scored a good goal but can't remember if it was the first or second he scored against bristol rovers.
