I thought it was 4-4-2 mate.
I did as well - just wondering if we can get away playing like that against a 3-man midfield. Can recall last season we looked great against Man U's 4-4-2 but Swansea overran us in our subsequent home game with their midfield three. If its Crouch and Diouf starting and they defend like yesterday then we probably could. If its say Bojan for example starting up front then possibly not.

Yeah that's a fair point but in those instances I'd go with a 4-3-1-2 (same as Liverpool do) with Moses playing at the '1' in the Sterling role behind the front two mate.
Absolutely mate, we certainly have the options to be flexible. Would you like to see anybody else come in between now and end of play tomorrow?

He isn't though. He played up front on his own for Hanover from what I saw and did well. They just fire way more crosses in than we do and used him better. They played 4-4-2 for the most part. That doesn't necessarily mean he can't adapt to that role but I thought yesterday underlined Crouch's value. Always saw him leading the line on his own tbh! On the shoulder of the last man, mainly linking with wide players.

Where the fook was the other bloke? Always seemed to Diouf and Hustzi. Diouf the furthest forward and generally doing everything!

I think we're fine with what we've got Rob.
In an ideal world, I'd like to see an absolute beast of a defensive midfielder come in but I think that can wait.
I wouldn't mind seeing a £10 million bid go in for Moses in the morning though!

Yeah, I think we're pretty much ok as well. Certainly don't think we're crying out for a Yarmolenko. Wouldn't say no to DM but think we can get by.

Just seemed like Diouf would drop deep get the ball, link it up out wide, make a run and then head the fucker in!

From the bits and bobs I saw of him in Germany he certainly looked a lot better at doing that than he has here - but his all round game was much better yesterday too. Having Crouch to play off transformed him.

Cheers Paul - everything I'd read on his time at Hannover backs that up.

It never seemed that way when they played tbh!
