Not many for me but my nomination is: "Rate 'manager name' v 'opposition name'"
My fear is that it will be infested with clever dicks enjoying the sound of their own voice and baffling you (and themselves) with the length and breadth of their technical know how which in turn, and with the benefit of hindsight, will knock anything the incumbent manager had to offer on the day in to a cocked hat

I try not to open the "we've lost the dressing room/spirit/fight/passion/DNA" ones, but sometimes it's too tempting.

Good question Gods, bear in mind that any thread can be improved with a Dickie. This list is by no means me being disparaging about these types of threads because they obviously all have a purpose, so i'm going to give reasons so i'm not labelled as a meanie weenie. Betting threads because i'm not a betting man and don't understand what odds actually mean. Weekend Bets, Premier League Bets, sell your house and kids bets etc. Fantasy Football League things as i have no interest apart from Baddiel & Skinner, that was mint. Anything advertising Knot FM because i have no interest. That sounds mean but i don't, sorry. Coach Travel, as i don't use it. Joe's legendary " Where to watch in Australia' threads, also any ' Sports Bars in Azerbaijan' or ' Where to watch our game in Ouagadougou' ones, primarily because i don't know and i'm not there, never go to anywhere you can't pronounce, i never do. I try to not read morningmist threads which are questions that he already knows the answers to. I get lured in though, especially if there's a link to The Sentinel. I'm just pulling his leg, he likes it. Finally, those ' free online streams here' threads, can't be doing with that pillock who makes them. Other than that, i love every other type of thread.

I sometimes get dragged in but I try to avoid anything generally on the Everything Else Board which starts something like: "What is your favourite Band/Album/Track/Film by etc.?" Mainly because these threads just turn in to a boring list of bands/tracks whatever with no meaningful narrative to hold it altogether. You may as well just read an encyclopedia of rock and just add in a bit of your own abuse after every 4th entry

The threads slagging people off for leaving the ground early.
Generally anything mentioning 'passion' or 'bearpit'.
'-insert player's name- worth a punt' threads, as if Mark Hughes is going to read this message board and say 'Oh yea, I think I will sign him actually.'
Anything by Ted1965 (who doesn't post much nowadays to be fair) who says things in 30 paragraphs that some can say far more succinctly in 30 words.

I avoided the Change the Letter thread for years. Got into it about three months ago and now find it pretty compulsive. But I like words and word puzzles, so that kinda helps.
