As players come unexpectedly on the market, we see the downside of doing all your business early! Possibly but do you see him or Richards coming here anyway? Their wages will be too high.

He would be a real watershed signing, both young enough to grow even further yet still possessing experience at the very highest level. Hes big, powerful, quick, intelligent on and off the ball, versatile and would suit our new style down to a T. The only question mark against him is his goals ratio, but that would surely improve with regular starts and being played up top.
Would he want to come to Stoke? Possibly. If Man Utd wouldn't sell him to another top team over here and he didn't fancy his chances abroad, then I think we would be the best fit for him. Plus, Sparky could always pull a few strings with his Man Utd connections...
Go and Get Him Sparky!!!!!!!!!!!!

It would be a great signing if it happened; but it would surely mean someone misses out. Walters or Crouch or somebody would surely be gone at that point. Likely won't happen anyway.

Welbeck is a bit under-rated, never top 5 material but perfect for any other team I'd give my left bollock to have him here Well my LB is not going for Danny Welbeck. Maybe Messi, but I value my LB more than Welbeck!!

I'd take him on loan definitely, although his wages would probably be very high I reckon

I think Cleverley on loan would be a terrific signing perfect for us. I think he'd flourish. Man U too big for him.

Maybe Messi, but I value my LB more than Welbeck!! Righty is still healthy so I feel it's a risk worth taking. They can have both my bollocks if we sign Messi don't want kids anyways! although can i still fuck with no bollocks? because that would be a dealbreaker

I'd only cross that bridge if I ever got to it. As for giving both away, maybe when I'm 85 I could consider it.

Not another daft list! If you're not careful i'll compile a list of the great lists that i have compiled on here. Now that list will be a list worth listing and better still a list which will be fun compiling! OK I confess, I love a good list. Bring them on!

Is it legal for a club to stop a player signing for a "rival"? I thought players were free to sign for whoever they choose? Or is it written in his contract?

If he can't make it surrounded by better players he isn't going to make it at the lesser clubs. Anyway, welbeck, crouch, Walters and diouf? Not a great thought. Rather spend 15m on Hernandez.

Until a player's contract expires the club holding that contract are not under any obligation to sell him to anyone, rival or not. Surely you knew that? On the other hand if his club want to sell him and he doesn't want to move to any of the teams who want to buy him, he is under no obligation to move until his contract expires.

It'd be the end of his international career if he signed for The Stoke. Gouranga.

Would be brilliant for Stoke. Hes a top player in every area other than finishing. Very fast, strong and technical. With a consistent run as main striker he should find the goals. Until now he has spent most of his time on the wing.

Would take him in a shot, doubt he'd be interested or that we could afford him unfortunately.

He'd suit Hughes' style of play perfectly. And, as said above, I suspect his finishing would improve if he started regularly. In the meantime he'd create loads of space for the wide men and for Bojan or whoever played behind him.

To be honest I wasn't sure because contracts don't seem to mean much these days. Of course what you say makes perfect sense.

After what I have just witnessed, if Wellbeck is available he can fuck right off, never been Manu class never mind international class, and on tonight's viewing he ain't championship class either
