...according to David McDonnell in the Mirror. If the Yarmolenko story is true, we have the £££ for one megabucks transfer. And geography would fit. Flexible enough to play wide as and when too in a 3. Ordinarily he'd seem well out of reach, but if it's true they're stipulating not to a rival? It'd be frustrating if he went to a Sunderland/Hull-type. Maybe Newcastle? MirrorTelegraph

Surely we have too many forwards now for this to ve a realistic possibility? Who misses out?

Aren't Hull supposed to be making a bid for him?

We do have a loan place left - I agree it would be bad news for us if he went to the likes of Sunderland / Newcastle as he can make an impact across a forward line.
I do hope that we retain Crouch so possibly pass on this one.
I think that we will see another signing - maybe another surprise like Bojan / Moses who seemed to be under the radar
Points at Hull main priority, then just over a week until the transfer window closes and everyone can settle down to making the most of their squads

Aren't Hull supposed to be making a bid for him? If they sign Jordan Rhodes, you'd think that'd clear them out? Daniel Taylor ?@dtguardian 7mHeading to #MUFC press conf in a bit so will ask LVG about Danny Welbeck. But story is true. He can leave (albeit with conditions). Graeme Bailey @graemebailey · 24mDanny Welbeck looks likely to be allowed to leave Man Utd.Newcastle & Sunderland in the mix for him. Spurs, Everton, Arsenal & West Ham also

Welbeck is dross. I'd rather have Walters. Correct, I wouldn't touch him with a barge pole, the bloke is useless. Let's hope he does go to one of the north east teams or Dull, and that'll be them fooked.

Nixon is now suggesting he and Cleverley (and Zaha) are available on loan.

Welbeck is a bit under-rated, never top 5 material but perfect for any other team I'd give my left bollock to have him here

Welbeck has a lot to do to prove to me that he is anything better than the likes of Kitson. Never England class and if not for him wearing a Manu shirt he would never even get a mention never mind a game

Unlike some, I don't feel the need to be derogatory but suffice to say, I don't rate him - certainly at the £15m it would take to get him.
We cannot afford ano non (or low) scoring FWD.
Our next one has to be a selfish, snarling, fire breathing onion bag buster.
That ain't Wellbeck for me.

I'd take Wilko and Walters out for Richard's and welbeck in.
Not that there's any chance of that.

That being said the stunning part of this story is United rate the top 5 as rivals! Europe seems a bit far-fetched for them doesn't it?

Stupid move, if they had any ambitions at all they would only let him go to a top 4 club insisting that he played every game.

Not the very top drawer but is better all round than Diouf or Crouch

It's all right having these strikers but it's the service they need you look at The top strikers they're in a team that providers lots of opportunities .

Like a shot. He'd be a great player for us. Really? Fast, strong, can finish, he'd be great for us. He's not Man Yoo class (or what Man Yoo class should be) but from Everton/Spurs down he'd be a decent buy for anyone.
