What and where is the best bread in the Potteries?
I've tried a loaf from that "on the TV" bakehouse on London Road but was pretty underwhelmed to be honest.

CHAMPION son she said, I was always my MOTHERS PRIDE, seeing as I was A NIMBLE boy. Our house was often SUNBLEST during the summer, but as Dad's condition deteriorated we saw he couldn't finish his WHOLEMEAL and often left some. My uncle was in the navy and worked on a SUB and said when he looked through his telescope he could see auntie's BLOOMERS. On my sixth birthday I got a black puppy, I called him PUMPERNICKEL, we used to sit in front of the coal fire where it was warm and TOASTIE and listen to Queen songs, our favourite was Seven seas of RYE it was a CRACKER

The best bread I ever tasted was that provided free of charge to me and other kids of a similar disposition who grew up in poverty. They couldn't give have given a shit what was on the label or the variety of Jam spread on it. The worst thing was waiting in a queue waiting for your ticket for free meals. My kids grew up never daring to ask what kind of bread it was they were eating. They knew what it meant to me.
Pretentious moi ?

I used to work on a bread van when I was a kid, great job, loved the smell of it first thing in the morning, always got some freebies at the end of the day, did about 5 hours on a Saturday and got 50p for the day, saved my first 10 weeks wages to buy a £5 premium bond that I've now had for 40 odd years and it's never won a fucking thing Edit - when did bread delivery vans disappear from our streets, anyone know?

one of the nicest loaves around is at sainsbury , the taste the difference seedy uncut loaf from the freshbaked counter , its a granary loaf they will slice for you if you ask Thankyou Harry, I really don't why Fraiser has posted a picture of his trainers when all i'm asking for is some advice on bread. I suppose the trainers do look like a bit baked potatoes though, but that's still not bread advice. I can rely on good men like you and Bish, Harry.
