is this 34 year old striker definatly ex stoke? Apparently 100% ex Stoke. We are in the market for a striker and would make sense with Sidibe being local and not costing the earth

Unfortunately it could be, yes. Why unfortunately? I can't respect the guy enough. He's desperate to stay around the area rather than move away from his family. He clearly likes it here in Stoke-on-Trent. Sure, I'd rather he didn't sign for Vale, but his heart is in the right place and for that he has the okay from me

Sidibe would be a superb signing for vale, and with him opening a patisserie In Hanley he could gain another 6 customers by doing well at the vale

We are after a 34 year old striker, currently a free agent who is toying with the idea of joining us.. Will it be Sidibe? I would say so, I was talking to him a few weeks ago (I supply his new shop with a few items). He had just turned down a contract from Oldham as he didn't fancy the commute, he did add that he had spoken to Micky Adams that morning and whilst he really wanted to get back on the pitch he did understand that his Stoke history may make it a little difficult. It worked out fine for Dicko so I can't see it being a problem for Mama. 1 thing though, I got the feeling he was dodging pre season training so I don't know what sort of shape he is in (looks trim enough though). If he does sign I hope he does well for you!

Erm I would appreciate signing Sidibe. We are short upfront and he would suit our style which is tailored for Tom Pope.

I personally will not hold it against him! It will probably be the ones that slated him during his time with us who will. Top man who helped us greatly and always gave 100%.

I should hope you will. He's not the best footballer in the world but one of the world's best blokes. A real top man.

I think Mama would do a good job for Vale. Plus he comes across as a genuine likeable down to earth bloke so I don't think many Stokies or Valeites would begrudge him playing for both clubs.

Amazed Vale didn't go for Liam Lawrence to be honest,he is still better than League 2 where he has ended up.Mama will do a job for the Vale, far from prolific but will help Pope no end.

I bloody love Mama. He'll probably struggle to get half a dozen goals for you but I suspect he'll be undroppable. The consummate pro, and a bloody likeable bloke all rolled in to one. I for one really hope he does sign for you if only to keep him close to home so I can read about him in the local rag

Never clinical but always a handful. Williamson would benefit playing off of Mama I think. I love Mama Sidibe

We are in the market for a striker and would make sense with Sidibe being local and not costing the earth If you're in the market for a striker then there is no way it can be Sidibe If you're after a big useless lump who wins headers and flick ons to no one inparticular then you may well be in the hunt for Big Mama. He will probably score about 5 goals per season and make you believe that there is still a chance you could make it
