"All concourses around the stadium have been refurbished with anti-slip flooring being laid, along with walls and doors also being painted and new signage being erected to give the stadium a sense of freshness."
I don't think I've ever slipped in my life :/

There's two rows of lights now - the original ones and a second row attached to the underside of each stand's roof. The lights that were on top of the Boothen and South stands have been removed from their prong things though. Wonder if they'll get rid of the others?

When I'm laying face down on the floor with my beer flying up in the air and my pie shooting across the concourse, I'll remember these words. We can't hold Stoke responsible for your Friday nights in the Marquis, can we Pete? Of course, I'm not blame am I? It's them damm supporter cards you know.

All Prem clubs should be having the exact same lights. It is basicly so that if you are watching 1 game and then you turn over to another game you get the exact same picture quality.

The lights that were on top of the Boothen and South stands have been removed from their prong things though. Wonder if they'll get rid of the others? It is because of Sky but not because of the reasons you give (as I mentioned earlier in the thread). Basically, the resolution/refresh rates for HD broadcasts are so fine tuned that lighting levels below a certain level of 'nits' give rise to what's known as 'flicker' when watching slow motion (if you've ever filmed and watched back the output of an old CRT monitor, you'll know what I mean). Improved LED lighting leads to less 'noise' on live feeds and eliminates the strobe-like effect when watching replays. The question I was asking was that given the existing lights are still in situ, and a second row have been installed within the stands, will they get shot of the 'original' lights and rely solely on the new ones, or get rid of the existing ones and harness the power of the FANTASTICAL LED LIGHTING SYSTEM OF THE FUTURE!

Seems they've revamped the PA system in the boothen too. Player makes his home debut and he can't be introduced! Then he scores and we still can't hear. It's shocking. At least we get the speakers with bin bags over next season. Good god

The concourse at the Britannia Stadium looks shinny and new but when you get pitchside nothing has changed. What is going on with the PA System is it in the middle of an upgrade? Are we having all electronic advertising boards? Under the seats need powerwashing its full of cobwebs etc

Have they put a queueing system in for beers and food? Or is it still a free for all?

As mentioned the tannoy system has been wank from day 1. How many times has it been changed yet it's still shite.
Also the bog doors need bloody widening in the boothen end as it's carnage trying to get in for a piss when someone is coming out the door. Also on the topic of bogs, fix the taps. How much water do we waste with taps that don't go off after they've been pressed especially on block 24.

Drew from salvage hunters would pay for Assaidi's transfer if he were to buy the existing lights. Nice chrome units those.

How much did the anti-slip floors cost? I think the sand worsened the effect to be honest. Mire slippery than last year though.

How thick are people at our club? I walked into a wet stadium and didn't slip because the anti slip paint worked.
I fell arse over tit on the way out because someone had put sawdust on said paint and made the floor slippy!

The JSL was like an ice rink before the match without the sand, I thought that was why it went down.

It was really slippery before the game pretty obvious really because some dim wit thought shiny plastic coated paint over sand wouldn't be slippery when wet

Still doesn't look like the half time queuing for beers has been resolved. I like the grey colour though. This probably isn't helped by the fact that some of the staff in those vendors seem to be stupid beyond the sense of the word. Start of tonight's match I was the only customer and they still managed to fuck up my order and ask me "anything else" 6 times before realising I'd said no. Therein probably lies the main issue.
