Did the 795 stokies in attendance behave themselves and did the players wave to the scumbags in attendance?

Odemwingie wont have the same season again for us. He dropped off towards the end and didn't rate his play massively.
He was instrumental at the beginning though.

Much better second half. We could have had a hat full but were guilty of over playing it. Bojan is a class act. Jamo sorry if already answered but what position was Bojan playing? Did Diouf play out wide?

Did Diouf play out wide? Where did Bojan play today, Jamo? On the right of the three behind Diouf, mate. On that showing we HAVE to get him involved. The link up between him, Ireland and N'Zonzi (and Arnie) is going to be a real pleasure to watch.

A baseless allegation, Wingie was excellent last season and excellent at the World Cup as well. He may be 33 but he's got a few years left in him yet.

Our best XI for me and after seeing that is: Bego Bardsley Ryan Huth Pieters or Muniesa Whelan N'Zonzi Bojan Ireland Arnie Diouf 4231 Bego Bardsley Ryan Huth Pieters or Muniesa Whelan N'Zonzi Odem Ireland Arnie Bojan Think I'd be tempted to do this and let Diouf and Bojan fight it out for the lone front man spot.

Might not be the worst idea but we certainly need a new winger given Odemwingie is 33 and isn't going to be able to start every week. We need a quality alternative which we don't have.

Arnie on the left and Ireland in the number 10 role!

Completely agree, the wing/wide forward position is the only place we look weak in and that could be sorted with one player, if they could play both sides.

Don't really know why we are seemingly fannying around with Assaidi. He either wants to play for the club or he doesn't. If he's persistently asking for too much then we need to move on. Feel we should be looking to have this addressed over the next week or two.

I think Bojan would settle better out wide in a similar Peter Odemwingie role of cutting in and joining Diouf as think he might get bullied by Premier League Centre Halves and we dont have an outball of hitting to a target man like we would with Diouf! I would be happy to see them interchange though and think with Irelands passing they would be a hit!

I thought it was a good friendly today with plenty of positives. My only worry is Muniesa he was shocking ,beaten every time in the air and weak in the tackle.Hughes has to play pieters he is strong and a better all round defender.

Bego - not a lot to do, good distribution.
Bardsley - looked good, needs a little longer to gel and not wonder out of position however I can see why we signed him.
Huth - good game, solid as usual.
Shawcross - decent run out, poor for their goal.
Muniesa - looked sloppy and they took advantage of his small frame.
Arnie - solid
Adam - still can't beat the first man from a set piece
Nzonzi - good feet and good awareness. I still think he slows the game down too much.
Walters - he's been good for us but I think a move would do us and him a world of good.
Crouch - looked sharp
Diouf - needs some anti slip boots, missed a sitter. He did however look eager and ready to go forward when possible.
Bojan - class act, will need to toughen up but a really well taken goal, quick feet and one touch passing looked slick.
Pieters - looked decent when he came on
Ireland - didn't do much for me today, definitely has more to offer
Whelan - picking up where he left off last season, decent distribution
Wilson - looked good alongside Huth

Bojan will get clattered in the Premiership.
How people are saying they'd prefer Charlie Adam over Stephen Ireland is beyond me.

He was playing against a Championship team where the football is certainly more physical and came through it with flying colours. The guy is class though, his first touch is silk.

He'll get targeted from the off, only time will tell but as you said the boy is a class act, unbelievable talent.

Are people seriously saying they wouldn't play arnie?, words fail me at times on here. Yes, I'd be happy if Wingie playd over Arnie for the majority of the games next season whilst Arnie is still learning his trade in the Prem. Wingie is a far better goalscorer, better at tracking back and is more of a team player. Arnie as good as he was end of last season blows too hot and cold for me. I think another year in the Prem would see him right though.

It's a really great problem to have for MH.
Odemwingie, Arnie, Diouf, Bojan, Ireland, Adam and maybe Assaidi too.
7 quality players vying for four berths.
(That's not even thinking about Crouch and Jon).
