Still playing up our stereotype from a couple of seasons ago. The media's opinion of Stoke is like a supertanker turning around in the Trent & Mersey Canal.

Surely an article like this is going to play on stereotypes. Do you really expect a lighthearted American article to go any further. We are what we are and I'd rather be known as a hard tackling competitive team which is an awful place to visit on a wet night in February than some faceless bore club like Newcastle.

Article would be much better if it was not filled with typos and grammatical errors. I'm not an English teacher but, good lord.

It is refreshing to see people not link us with relegation at all. We have come a long way in a short space of time

whats wrong with supporting MLS teams? Nothing. What's wrong with supporting a premier league club? We are a club who are currently in the premier league, we won't be forever, will these yanks want to choose us when we are back in the championship? The MLS has improved a lot in recent years, they should be doing more to encourage Americans to support their local teams.

Also, most Americans don't have a local team in the MLS, and with no relegation or promotion, they never will. The prem is a higher quality, easy to watch with internet access or basic cable, and reported on by mostly English speaking media.

If they want to support Stoke City then great, if they want to support a premier league team they should find someone else

If they want to support Stoke City then great, if they want to support a premier league team they should find someone else I've watched many streams of games in the championship, so that shouldn't be a problem, and one can always log on to the Oatcake to read the match threads when the games are not televised. I think the bigger issue would be waning interest in the season where the team goes down. People throw their support behind teams that do well, yanks are no different from locals in that regard.

They seem to think being mid table means it'll be boring to watch those teams. Watching Stoke is ever far from boring, even if it does mean puckering up your arse hole sometimes.
