At the Warrior International Cup in Keele today, Stoke Ladies entered 3 teams into 2 competitions and not only won both but the final of the Keele Cup was Stoke vs Stoke. Stoke A also beat Wolves in the final of the Warrior Trophy and it's always fun to beat Wolves.

What division are our ladies team in? The Premier League - which is the top Ladies League playing in the winter. The Super League (1&2?) above them, play in the summer. We just failed to get chosen for the Super League. I don't think there is any auto promotion between the Premier League and the Super League - bit like America. And with them playing at different times of the year I'm not sure how promotion and relegation would work.

Its a marketing thing, I should think. Rugby League invented the Super League name when they became a summer game and the Ladies decided to follow their example. I wish we still had Div 1 as the top division in the men's game to be honest.

Was a bold decision by the management team to split the squad into three teams but s sensational effort by the ladies who are all out in Hanley tonight celebrating A superb 7-1 win against Middlesbrough and defeating Wolves in the Final for the second year running were the highlights but the Girls were a credit to Stoke City all weekend.
