Factor in Odemwingie, Cameron and the winger that's 99% certain to arrive, and we're well stocked though, Jamo. Well Cameron for me is only ever going it get in at right back unless we are in dire straights. Odemwingie may be seen more as an option up front from now on and clearly the new winger will help. I think we need two wide players rather than one though. If I'm being greedy another forward wouldn't go amiss either. The next big problem is the plethora of players who I'm not comfortable seeing in the starting line up anymore. I can still see Wingie as primarily a wide right option, Jamo. So if we were to get 2 wingers, there'd be a hell of a crush. How often would even Assaidi start if everyone was fit? I think we'll be relying on one of Diouf and Crouch (or a Crouch replacement) to lead the line. Bojan is the confusing one. I have no idea at all where he's going to figure as I can't see a system change and he doesn't seem a natural for the Ireland or Odemwingie roles - and he'll never be the 4-2-3- 1

Hughes out and take that Bojerhan with you. Neanderthal idiot! I hope you don't call yourself a STOKE supporter! What do our new players think if they ever read our forums when we have imbecillic comments such as this. STOKE CITY are over in Germany to build a basic level of fitness without getting injured. I'm always disappointed when my side loses but only a clown would throw his toys out of the pram at such a time. What our players want at this moment is your complete support without criticism. Whose the goose?

I do too actually jamo. I don't think Wingie was brought in to play out wide in the first place. I think he was brought in with the knowledge that he COULD play there if needed, and as it happens, he was needed straight from the off, and he did the business. At the time he was signed though we had Arnie and Assaidi, and we tried to bring that Pitroipa fella in on deadline day. If we'd have managed to sign him, I think PO could have been the first choice striker for the second half of the season.

Never nice to lose, but come on, no need to panic whatsoever.

What is the point of refs using yellow cards in these matches?

I saw last 20 mins - Jonny Tex does look composed on the ball, the midfield control was better with SNZ, Sid and Charlie in there, but otherwise we were still just jogging around, in training mode.
We can hopefully play more like a first choice XI v Schalke and start to step it up a bit. We do need to work out how to get the best out of Bojan, but it will take a bit of time I'm sure.

What is the point of refs using yellow cards in these matches? Tbf the ref kept them in his pocket for challenges that normally deserve one but Arnie had three in the space of 5mins.

Absolutely but the notion that we are going to cruise to a top half finish needs torpedoing fast. I can't imagine anyone expected us to really cruise to top 10. That said judging the team in a nothing game 2 weeks after getting back to training where it's all about getting fit and giving everyone game time is a bit over the top. One or two seemed to think we're top six material and plenty are talking as if we are nailed on top half.

Not a big surprise, especially with some on here running away with themselves and thinking every other team in the prem is shit or have made poor signings and that we're on for 8th or higher. Our signings have promise but not guaranteed to work. Diouf needs better service but his willingness to run bears well. Bojan is lightweight and you can see why clubs kept sending him back from loan spells and didn't try and sign him. He'll need time and probably a whole season to make an impact if not longer.

It'll be interesting to see what the Ireland-Adam-Bojan pecking order is at Christmas. I'd probably still guess that Ireland is favoured. And I wouldn't be staggered if Adam was moved on in the next month or January when you see which way the wind's blowing.

Shots' 2nd touch is always a tackle. The lad is very poor and we are wasting our time giving him a minute more.
