I know its been mentioned before but will they let us hang our flags around the back of the stands and maybe leave them there, so we didnt have to carry them home after every game??
Also I quite like the idea of murals being painted on the grey concrete of the A50 bridges leading to the ground from Meir to Heron Cross. This could be done quite tastefully with permission from the council (not holding my breath ) Im sure theres one or two fanatical 'Artisty/Banksy' type Stokies out there who would do it for a small fee.
Any outsiders driving through Stoke along that busy road would be in no doubt where they were and how much we love our club.Lets start something slightly 'Hajduk' and continental around our ground and be the first in the prem to do so.
Could our backward council support this? How many other Stokies like this idea? I know its sort of 'Nationalistic' and doing the evil sin of showing Pride in something we believe in, because we arent allowed to do that these days

The council would trot out their usual 'two club city' routine. When you go to Wolves the whole city seems to have old gold wherever possible and Coventry has sky blue.

And has anyone got any idea when they are going to change the pictures on the stadium??? Really think they should update them now, all them players left the club a long time ago now, surely it wouldn't cost that much

Probably true, but we wouldnt be asking the council to fund it, just give permission to brighten the place up.I wonder if there's anyone off the council on here with any thoughts? .....They probably wont own up to that badge of honour though! :-D

Well then the artwork has to depict us beating Port Vale then. Sorted. Or a few portraits of our legends and their legends. So, for arguments sake Alan Hudson, Stanley Matthews, Gordon Banks, Mike Pejic, Jimmy Greenhoff, Dennis Viollet, Denis Smith, John Ritchie, Ryan Shawcross, Ricardo Fuller, Peter Thorne, Mark Stein etc etc. Then they can have i dunno...Louis Dodds or Chris Birchall or someone with a charity bucket in their hand and Kalamazoo written somewhere because i like the word.

It's not like anyone is asking for boslem and the slums north side to be paint in red and white. Just Stoke the surrounding stadium area. After all this is where Stoke City is from. The council should get a life and realise what premiership football has bought to the city on the last 5 years.

It would be a cracking idea. Plus teams coming into the ground on their coaches would have to drive past it and it may put them off further. The murals would be a class touch if the council let us do it.

the Perspex around our ground drives me crazy. look at Everton's ace timeline or a great idea on how to cover up an eyesore.
The mural is an ace idea. Anything promoting our identity can never be wrong.

We are a two club city though, March. Wolverhampton and Coventry are one club cities, of which the latter "supports" it's club so much it plays it's home games 40 miles away in Northampton.

I maybe wrong but I think this wouldn't be allowed as the Highways Agency don't allow bridges to be painted. Something about them not being able to inspect structures properly!!!!

Always dreamed of some appropriate flag dangling over the A50 for the arrival of the arsenal team coach. Something along the lines of "Welcome to the Bear Pit"
"'The Britannia is a raw and exciting footballing experience, unwelcoming temperatures and hostile home fans, with the action all played out in a noisy, bearpit atmosphere that is a real throwback' " - Phil Mcnulty, Chief BBC Sports Writer
We need this on the wall in the tunnel, next to wear the away team line up for them all to take in
The supporters council need to make this happen

Easily done; red for us, white for them. Just done side by side to reflect the comradeship of the two clubs. Vis Unita Fortior you could say. Better still include that on the murals.

I like the mural idea, but not on the bridges - it'd never be allowed. But on the sides of the ground/in the pedestrian tunnel etc. It would be mustard

I'm sure Newcastle town wouldn't mind, we seem to have a good local tie with them anyway...
