What a lad we have here. Not only is he going to be an absolute star and deserve to start come the 16th, he has bought into the Potter mentality too. He is also flying the flag with his mates and having words with Bojan to get him here. Wonder who else at Barca he has spoken to about the club. He may turn out to be the most important signing Hughes will make.
This season may be the most difficult time to pick the name on the back of my shirt.

He could be vital for the club over the next few years.
His attitude and pride in being at the club is a joy to behold and can only benefit us when trying to attract new players.
I really hope Bojan buys into the club as much as Muniesa has.

I have a feeling that he will. Muniesa will hugely important for him and it seems that La Masia doesn't create players with egos, if we can get his best mate Sergei Roberto too, I would be well chuffed, very highly not going to happen but one can dream

Muniesa still has to nail down a place in the team though. Can't see him displacing Pieters so it's a battle royal for the centre back spot with Huth and Wilson. I wonder how Hughes will play it? Other than that it's on the bench as cover and in the Cup I'd guess.

Yeah they are. I think you can have 2 internal loans and maybe one or two foreign loans. I forsee another Barca player heading this way, maybe not this window, but maybe Jan once their squad is settled and players will be able to better judge their standing, ala Afellay, Roberto, Gomez, Barta(will be most likely to get games out of that list)

Personally i'd have him at CB, Wilson can be a disaster and Huth I don't feel can be a player like Shawcross

He has defensive mid written all over him. While Nzonzi and Whelan are looking solid, I would tend to keep it as it is. But if Nzonzi leaves or Whelan loses form, perhaps time to try him in that role? As is, I would give the CB/LB roles to whoever's in the best form.

He seems a geniunely great guy. Always has a smile on his face, seems down to earth. And more importantly he has bought into Stoke City more than other players [apart from Huth who essentially isnt german anymore in my eyes!] Great to see him championing us to his friends back in spain, who would not even have thought about a career in the potteries, all looks good for the future. But you have to remember the original Barca link = Hughes, and the scouting network we have now seems to be work. Truly an excited time. PS. I think his best position is linking up the play as LB currently, worked VERY well with Marko or Assaidi last season when going forward. Still needs toughing up defensively but that will come with mentors like Ryan and Huth

I have no idea how Muniesa is going to fare in the longer term as I'm not sure where he'll best suited. He's a good footballer that's for sure and I'm glad I'm not the manager. Will he displace Pieters at left back? Can't see it myself. Is he an option to the rock that is Huth and the enigma that is Wilson? Probably. A defensive midfielder? That's the $64,000 question that may never need to be answered.

Where does it say he was involved in the Bojan capture?
He could play holding midfield instead of Whelan (had it on good authority that Hughes doesn't see GW in his plans and he's free to talk to other clubs)

I hate the fact that him and Pieters are competing for the same spot. They both have a great attitude and deserve to be playing regularly.

I honestly think he will start the season left back. Him and Arnie seem a real threat together and link up well.

We will be starting left back this season, I'd be very surprised if not. So basically, you'd be very surprised if Erik Pieters starts at left back against Villa? Blimey, you surprise easily. I assume that's what you mean, "We will be starting left back this season" doesn't actually make any sense.
