Just been watching the news and it showed the very macabre looking train carrying the bodies from the Ukraine crash site, and it didn't half look like the Nazi Holocaust trains transferring Jews to concentration camps.

Yes seems a bit spooky, but it would be difficult anywhere to find mortuary space for nearly 300 corpses. The refrigerated train is probably the only place that they gave to hold so many bodies. God forbid should a tragedy like this happen in England we would have to resort to refrigerated trailers too.

Did anybody else think that the footage of the hand over of the black boxes looked a tad contrived. Cynical me thinks that nothing conclusive will be found on the tapes.

They are rather old ass trains though using old ass infrastructure. These are similar trains that have to transport things over several hundred kilometres, overnight in temperatures that go down to -20, when temperatures dont go above -5 for weeks on end, dealing with several inches of snow that fall every day. It's a country that has severe lack of investment in infrastructure.
Trains and tracks arent really suitable for fancy, aesthetic, comfortable journeys and I can vouch for that myself having done the overnight trains a couple of times.
