You only just realised?
He's been on this scam for years.
Should be remembered as the player who launched the footballing disorder known as 'scream diving'.

No, I've not just realised. I just had to pass comment on it though. It's not only his(and many others) cheating and diving that is so annoying, it's the tacit acceptance of commentators and pundits.

Entirely agree. I sometimes wonder why a player can't be booked for diving, even if a minor foul has been committed. Surely if the dive is excessive or faked then the player is trying to cheat.

Unless its someone less high profile, then the pundits say we dont need that in football.

If Robben had been hurt half as much as he has tried to make out in this game, he would now be in a wheelchair.

For some reason he reminds me of the way David Speedie/Speedy used to play. He was a horrible cheat aswell.

I'd be happy if he never set foot on a pitch ever again. He should be dragged to one side and given a kicking of biblical proportions to give him summat to moan and scream about.

I just did some very rough mathematics and I reckon Robben has thrown himself to the ground 64 times this tournament. I base that around him having possession 8 time per half of each game and throwing himself to the ground every other time he gets the ball. So 8 matches this World Cup for Holland is 16 halves of football with 4 devious dives per half. Total 64 unassisted visits to the turf. He is a cheat on a Jimmy Saville scale

The thing is football relies on some degree of honesty to work at all.
When you have a forward and a defender both chasing the same ball and fighting for the same space in what is a contact sport then the incentive is always there for the forward to fall over in the coming together since he may win a penalty which is in effect a goal but it is never there for the defender to fall down since the best he will get is a free kick in his own box or worse if he doesn't the forward will be free to run through and score.
Robben capitalizes on this anomaly like no one before him and candidly its a disgrace.

He is a cheat but the ref gave a penalty for a foul OUTSIDE the area. Plus if he was the last man it should have been a red card anyway.

There were players all over the pitch tonight throwing themselves on the floor to try and gain an advantage. It's a sick development in the game that has been allowed to flourish and encouraged by idiots in studios proclaiming that "he's entitled to go down" and "well there WAS contact". Robben exploits it to the max as do very many others.
That said, he's a brilliant player and he's been one of the very few individuals to enhance this World Cup IMO.

Don't worry Gods there will be plenty of players on the pitch tomorrow night doing exactly the same. I agree it's disgusting mate but the game has allowed this situation to arise and players (disgusting though it is) will exploit it where they can.

Indeed but Robben is a one man carnival of cheating, he has put the thing on an industrial scale and FIFA have no intention of doing a damn thing about it. I just think its sad in the end. You just feel your heart sink.

Hope that clears it up.
