BBC FourThis should be very interesting, even to those that have no interest in pro cycling. If the story is told fully, then you will see how what went on in cycling, is probably affecting most major sports. The lengths that the anti-doping people have to go through to ensure that cycling is clean, is incredible, and the standards of anti-doping and self interest are very low in professional football.

I think it's pretty likely doping exists in football. The Spanish are the most obvious culprits.
Will be sure to watch this.

Prosecuted and convicted from 2012-2013, right around the time Spain and Barcelona turned shit, both teams he had strong connections to.

This had the potential to become the biggest scandals to hit football, period. Looks like the big Spanish clubs have avoided the predicted meltdown. For some reason, a legal caveat, Spain was the epicentre of world doping across many sports. Seems to have blown over.

If Lance had not been caught, he would have gone into politics and run for President. He's a seriously nasty piece of work.

If Lance had not been caught, he would have gone into politics and run for President. He's a seriously nasty piece of work. He's been a bully, and a bully with gold medals - that lies at the heart of it. He has also successfully countersued too hasn't he? He's made a misery of innocent peoples lives. He's denied career success to other athletes and has disgraced not just The Tour, but cycling itself. Yet, still he's a multimillionaire, a free man and competing in sport? Christ, he's nearly as bad as me.

It blew over because Spanish courts ordered all the evidence destroyed. Quite the scandal if you read into it. Top doping doctor arrested and convicted of doping cyclists. Authorities raid and seize 200 blood bags as evidence. During the trial he says he can provide info on other top athletes who used him such as 'well known tennis players and footballers'. Court says its not necessary and orders the blood bags destroyed.
