I have mine as a player I like, never abbreviate the name and I use the number that player will wear. I also only get shirts with players who I know won't 'disgrace' the club and someone who is a bit of a legend even if they leave. E.G. I personally wouldn't risk getting an Arnie shirt as he might dick us around next summer and hand in a transfer request etc (though I'd hope that wouldn't be the case) however if I got a Shawcross shirt even if he left the club I could go to the game wearing it and not be ashamed in any way I have two shirts, one with Etherington's name the other with Fuller's If i was to get another I'd go for Shawcross!
It's all personal preference however

I thought this shirt naming malarkey was mainly for kids under the age of 16. Like wearing fill kits. There are exceptions to this of course - each to their own though!

Personally I always customize mine by adding some hot pink lace trim to the cuffs and collar and have the name and number added in glitter, its just more sparkly.

Only ever got one top personalised. Got the Europa League season top with the Europa sleeve badges and Fuller on the back. Great memento of our European and a modern day legend.

I've never had any shirt I've bought added to with a name. But if I did I think I would have MIGHTYPOTTERS put on to it.

grown men with players names on the back of replica shirts are a bit weird.

Never personalised a Stoke top, but I have a blue, short sleeved England goalkeeper's shirt from a few years back that proudly displays
BANKS '70 ST4

Personally never would. It's for small children and looks a bit gay when you see a full grown man with another man's name on his shirt

Do you think it would look good if you actually did that? I'm not so sure StokeBloke... This is a serious question by the way. I'm an artist.

I'd have Palacios on mine. The only way i'd ever have that Honduran £8million dream player on my back is if it was spelt correctly. PALATIEOUS 8

To me I think it shows some respect to our future legends and adds the finishing touch to the strip. Although I do like seeing nicknames etc.. plus inevitably the front of the shirt gets worn out (usually the sponsor part and our old fuzzy badges ie Ansells tops) and becomes unwearable after a while so I like hang mine up backwards. Got Fuller's above my bed, which granted could be seen as a bit gay
