Went on the club website the other night, delighted to see last seasons DVD was out already. So in haste and anticipation I logged in - put one in my shopping basket £15 quid -errr - umm bit steep but OK its for a good cause and OK yes - itching to see it then checkout ======== £6.95 yes SIX POUNDS AND NINETY FIVE FUCKING PENCE was added for postage and packing. suffice to say I will wait and buy one from the club shop when I'm next down there on match day question Remains Why rip off your own fans in such a self defeating way? sheer muppetry at work yet again somewhere in our club ps I posted a small DVD sized package the other day myself via royal mail - cost £2.80 minus the packaging so is half of seven quid unreasonable ?

Everybody's at it though. If you buy concert tickets now, you have to pay £2.50 to print your own tickets rather than have them posted to you.
Whatever you do, they've got you by the balls.

It's little old Stoke on Trent Tony, what did you expect?
It's expensive business packing those street urchins off to the sorting office with parcels on their backs.

Did exactly the same and bottled it when I saw the 6.95 pop up. It's ridiculous. Shame as it should be the best seasons highlights by a country mile. So many great goals.

Cool, I'll nip up to the shop and monday and get it. They did tell me it wouldn't be available until the first week in August, glad they were wrong!

They saw your posting address as the vast metropolis that is Warrington, and they're trying it on. Hoping that somebody with your vast fortune wouldn't notice?

A lot of DVD / CDs are posted from businesses based in the Channel Islands (tax dodge), one of those big warehouse operations may be ?

Another here who did the same earlier. Went through to checkout, saw the P&P cost and thought 'fuck that'...

I was going to get a shirt online the other week but refused to pay £6.95, went up Hanley and they were sold out. Will just wait until they are back in stock, to have a flat rate is very old fashioned. Don't know why they don't have a reserve and collect option either.

That's despicable, it really is.
The supporters council IMO need to bring this up at the next meeting.
The club are stupidly pricing themselves out of sales.
I was looking forward to purchasing this, but out of principle I now won't.

They are robbing cunts!! Last season I think it was a fiver postage if you got anything from the shop. The amount of stuff I got off eBay instead of the shop is a joke. They lost a few quid from me and how many others? The stuff isn't the cheapest anyway so I think they should just do free p&p or at least free when you spend over a tenner maybe.

No reason why they can't do what a lot of retailers do these days and offer "Click-and-Collect". The club gets their money in teh bank and the punter just has to remember to pop in and show some ID/proof of order when they collect. Simple.
They could just offer it on certain items (like the DVD) if they were concerned about storage space.

Any way that football clubs can scam money from the long suffering fans they will and stoke are no exception. Match ticket prices, match programmes, monthly fee to enter their official website (wtf is all that about?), rediculous cost of being a matchday mascot and now p&p costs for mail order. The list is endless but it all goes to the great cause of lining the pockets of greedy players who don't give a shit about anything outside their own arms length.

I'll end up getting one at some point although that is a bit steep compared to some of the season reviews available online. Man City, Liverpool and Chelsea are all £12.99 with free delivery on Amazon. Alternatively you can pick up the comedy of the year. £7 or so cheaper and again no delivery charge.

How much was it with the packaging? Have you then factored in the time it takes you to wrap it up and also get it to the postal service. When you have that number, add about 40% mark up (as they are a business) and that's about where it should be.
