He's had a pop at Vieira and Cannavaro aswell. He had a dig at Townsend the other night.
Has someone put something in his coffee?

I hate this shit about playing the game, of course it means something but the stonewalling these cunts give to others makes me laugh.
O'Neill is a terrible manager though, so I'm sure they won't lose any sleep.

He's actually not a bad pundit. The rims of his glasses seem to cover his eyes so you can't see who he is addressing half of the time.

What was all this about?
I like O'Neill. Good tv. The nearest we have to Cloughie in his manner (not manners!)

Funny him raising his two European Cup medals - the first of which he earned sat on his backside on the bench as a non-playing substitute, something he himself talks about from time to time. But not on this occasion though!

Never understand the hate on the guy to be honest.

This writing off of any opinions if you haven't played the game professionally is paranoid, arrogant shite. So Paul Merson's opinion is worth more than Jonathan Wilson's is it? Jog on dickhead.

His star was very high after his time at Celtic, but as it has waned since, folk are very happy to stick the boot in! The reality is, IMO, OTT praise at Celtic followed by OTT criticism.

Yes he was there when Celtic ended Rangers run of titles, but im sure that would have happened anyways. What he's done that impressed me is his work at Villa and Leicester. Plus he like to say it how he see's it, possibly thats what i find so refreshing about him. I dunno. I just think there are far worse managers that get far more praise

Scored on MON's debut away at Dundee United and went on to score 53 goals that season. He also had bags of cash to spend - which in fairness he spent well on players like Sutton, Thompson and Lennon.

I think Martin O'Neil is one of the more intelligent pundits and generally talks sense, don't have a problem with him.
Coincidently his younger brother was in the year below of my degree course at Manchester, sound bloke and not a bad player himself. He "borrowed" Martin's European Cup Winner medals and brought them in to show us. Told us some great stories re Cloughie at Forest, by all accounts it is true that O'Neil and Cloughie had a quite volatile relationship.

Seems to say it as it is, and at least has an opinion.

To be fair to O'Neill he was responding to a cringe worthy attempt at 'humour' from Chiles who asked him if he ducked out of the way of free kicks as a player so his glasses wouldn't get knocked off.

If he did spend it on shit he still managed to get that shit to 3 consecutive 6th place's. Which the managers who've come after him can only dream about!
