Anyone planning to watch?
Croatia will fancy their chances of causing an upset but you can see Brazil nicking a cagey affair 1-0 with a most un-Brazilian goal.
Not sure if Adrian Chiles is in the chair, but I think he claims to be half Croatian so that would add a little frisson to the coverage if there is any time for talk between the damn adverts.

i'll be watching from kick off onwards.......absolutely no way in hell am i sitting through 2 hours of pre-match Brummie droning from that fuckwit Chiles. will probably watch the game on mute as well to save myself from throwing the TV out of the window when Townsend starts talking about "Your Neymars, your Luiz's," etc.

Studio analysis comes from Lee Dixon, Patrick Vieira, a World Cup winner with France, and Fabio Cannavaro who lifted the trophy with Italy in 2006. Match commentary is by Clive Tyldesley and Andy Townsend. Including the latest news from the England camp on the eve of their opening match against Italy."

I think it will be zero v zero in the first quarter with Brazil dominating the field of play . After a tie in the first , the second quarter will see an improved Brazil bump and run coverage with Croatia defence being dominated in the final third by the Brazil pass offence. As Croatia rely increasingly on a run and shoot offence Brazil will utilise the passing pocket and score two late goals from a Croatia fumble and an offence scramble. This avoids a tied result and gives Brazil a win loss percentage of 100% win.

they just need to get plenty of shots on frame and away from the goaltender. if they can keep it tight and get in plenty of depossession slides then they may just hold out!

"Oh man" as Wrighty himself might say; it'll be 20 past 9 before Chiles realises that Cannavaro can't speak a word of English. I loves ITV I does.

Is Andy Townsend doing all of itv's co-commentry? i'd imagine so, he does all the commentary for every ITV game and is contracted to them so there's no escaping the prick by the looks of it

personally i can't bloody wait!!!! (for the WC to start...not ITV coverage) it's the world cup for god's sake! ok, so England don't have a chance of winning it but so what? Stoke don't have a chance of winning the Prem but i still love the season and i don't refuse to watch simply because there are teams better than us! i got excited in 94 when we weren't even there....some people need to bloody lighten up and get in the samba spirit IT'S THE WORLD CUP!!!!!!

Come 5 mins to 9 the kids will be saying - "we really want to stay up and watch it Dad".
Do I let them - given they're very loosely interested in football but it may encourage them...
and it may give me a better chance of the wife not wanting to turn the TV over?
