Our lads should be resting up, ready for next season instead of playing in meaningless bloody friendlies
Glad Stephen Ireland is not involved too
All our lads need a good summer of rest to come back fresh
unless the world cup beckons
i.e. games that actually might mean something

Walters has had a blinder since he came on. Definitely how we should keep using him.

Walters will be one of our better players next season just like Glenn has been this time round.

Walters will be one of our better players next season just like Glenn has been this time round. If we get the players we are after, he might not get much of a chance to make an impact.

Will he get much game time next season? If we sign Riviere and Diouf, there's not much room for him.....

Dunno Foxy Riviere Diouf Arnie Walters Odemwingie Ozzie He's sixth in line there and that's taking Crouchy out of the mix. Excellent competition but if a decent bid comes for him?

Nobody who doubted Walters has been 'made a mockery of'. He has played absolutely shockingly for us for some time now and this has been pointed out by plenty. One nice goal in an international friendly does not mean anyone was wrong to point out how consistently terrible he has been playing for the last few years.

Like you say Crouch makes 7 if they sign so no chance will we keep that amount Walters and Crouch are down the pecking order so will be sacrificed I reckon

Yes, perhaps, but 3 of the 5 that are not Walters are not our players yet Excellent point Gods, I think at least 2 or 2 who play in those positions will be. Which squeezes him out and if it is all 3 (I hope we sign a striker, LW and RW) then he's down even further. It's not too much of a stretch come the summer proper that Walters will be in a much competitive pool of players.

Excellent competition but if a decent bid comes for him? If Wingy doesn't revert to his Cardiff form. If Ossie doesn't deliver fully on the potential he's shown. If the others don't get injured/struggle for form. I don't think he'll be an ever present but he'll play an important part IMO.

Tbf to him recently when hes come on hes played pretty well. I'd agree with that. The past two or three sub appearances he's done well, but that doesn't come close to making up for the ridiculous amount of consecutive starts where he's been more than disappointing.

If a certain capped wonder doesn't make a 3/4 million bid for an aging player with a year left on his contract. Can a club like ours have that many attacking options all on good money? I don't think we can, something will have to give.

I think if one player is going to be on his way out, it'll be Crouch. Walters can play in three different positions, four if we're being generous, and is probably on half as much money as Crouch. While he probably had his best year for us last season, I don't see how we can carry a player on his wages as third choice.

Other than Phil Bardsley, we haven't signed / confirmed that we have any other new players as yet.
Diouf a possibility (I do hope that he signs for us) but until we get one or 2 more then I can't see any urgency to sell.
Assaidi would also be a great permanent signing, but he would not be an addition to our squad from the season that has just finished?
I agree Crouch would be most likely to be sold, but MH specifically said that he would like PC to remain here for another season?
Walters is a more versatile player and a better impact sub imo
Let's hope we have some positive news in the next couple of weeks and we are able to retain the very best players at the club
