give them their p45.
Not a single large or xl adult away shirt in stock, after 3 days. Was told it'll be a month before they have more. Same every year.
Don't want to pre-order as I like to check which size is right before I spend 45 quid.
I thought the basics of supply and demand are relatively simple. Apparently not.

Maybe stop smuggling balti pies and you'll fit in one of the sizes readily available from stock?

Perhaps the bloke is ex Abercombie and Fitch or Hollister employee who only want the slim and urbane to wear their gear?

That's pretty shit to be fair, you can understand them not wanting to get left with stock, but 3 days in, and a one-month wait for more? It really shouldn't be that difficult.

Have you ever thought that it might have been the suppliers unable to meet demand? Or maybe they based what they needed on previous sales? I was going to get one next week so thanks for the heads up. But stop moaning ffs

Why not have a moan? It is a service industry they're in and if the service cannot be provided customers and money will be lost. It definitely warrants a moan.

It's neither here nor there to me, as I don't want one, but however you dress it up, and whosever fault it is, it's pretty crap.
At the very least it has the potential to impact upon income via shirt sales.
It smacks of over-caution and/or bad planning.
So do one :-D

But stop moaning ffs It doesn't matter how hard you try to absolve the club on this one you can't deny that is absolutely shit by the commercial and marketing department but quite why anyone is surprised beats me. It's been the same for years. Anyone know if other similar sized clubs are as bad or is it just us?

The "X" sizes and upwards seems to be under the most stress Perhaps the Vale have something here, we really do have an above average number of fans who are no stranger to a pie or two The only other explanation I can come up with is that Carto has snapped them all up It's a strange one. Either way everyone likes a good sacking so I'll support the OP on that demand

Perhaps the bloke is ex Abercombie and Fitch or Hollister employee who only want the slim and urbane to wear their gear? I went into the Holister down here with my lad the other week. It's darker than a nightclub in there. They had some dolly facing you as you come through the door, making eye contact and giving it a "Hi", whilst leaning over and folding tops on a table, giving everyone an eyeful of her puppies. Upstairs there's a lovely on the till in what can only be described as underwear. I made the transaction, not knowing exactly what I'm paying for. My lad is making a special effort to say bye to them all on our way out. I might take a stroll down this afternoon, just to catch up. "Boy, get your coat, we're off out!"

Well, perhaps you could help Stoke & Warrior out; how many of each size should they order? And you gotta be spot on cause we don't want any left over. Dead easy, eh?

I would expect they would have figures of how many & what sizes they sold last season and i am guessing L,XL,XXL would have been top of the list. To OS after 3 days is criminal.

The Staff were extremely damming of what stock they were provided with and they "knew" there'd be problems. There was very little stock yesterday afternoon with large queues.
It's not really a massive gamble by Stoke to have 500 or so tops on the back boiler, its not as if they'll pay £45 for them, more like £10 if that. Either way shit by Stoke.

Here's a thought. Perhaps they should just use that massive database of info they have of all those fans registered with the club who frequently buy a new shirt.
It's called demand planning. Some firms have to contend with customer bases in the millions and lead times for products of 6+ months, and they manage just fine.
Perhaps they should consider employing some people with more experience - I doubt you'd find another prem club has this problem.

The club shops are embarrassing.
Stock is low , selection is poor, and some of the stuff is, quite frankly ,crap.
The club shops are a potential gold mine, and how they are not better quality is beyond me.

The club shop is an easy link to the supporters who willingly buy goods to show everyone their support for the club that they love. The shop is like a charity store. In a much improved retail level, including a new fit out to entice people in, the shop will turn over more goods increasing revenue and keeping the loyal supporters of Stoke City Football Club happy.

Ah yeah it is, they did the other one but the one in Hanley isn't that old really and should be much better. I haven't been in the one down the ground since they did it up.

Maybe it's because we have a "bespoke design"?
Obviously the badges / Sponsors shouldn't be a problem, but unlike Adidas who had several clubs with the same shirt - I thought that this Warrior one is specially for us?
At this stage of proceedings - pre season - you would hope that the stock management would be better however.
End of June, World Cup in full flow, great time to have a good range of kit etc in the Club shops - get it organised

They seem to have got slightly better with their communication with regular post match reports and ST information, surely they could have gauged the demand by asking what the fans intentions were towards buying SCFC merchandise, especially as its holiday period coming up.
Surely we were given better prices for the more we purchased, material, shipping etc and we'll surely pay a premium for top up orders now.

Probably the same person who ordered the 2000 size small away shirts last season that they are left with..... And loads of them were long sleeved, a friend of mine approached Stoke for a charity in Africa they regularly visit. When they got to Africa and handed the tops out to the children they were all long sleeved. On a positive note most of the children immediately knew they were Stoke tops.
