Van Gaal, not far off! Hardly a surprise is it really, there were no other names pitted against him really but thanks for the update anyways EDIT: A shame you changed the title really, I thought the name "Vanhall" had a ring to it

a good manager but imo utds problems run deeper than this. he is in his 60s and wouldnt be there long term -
he needs a new back 4, decent CM play maker, and some wingers
the squad is as bare as it could be, plus you still have the glazers and th eproblems they bring
they will struggle to attract the players they need whilst not in the Champs leagues and if they dont get in next season they could be in line for a liverpool style slump, even in fergies regins they didnt regulary attract many world class players, instead they were very lucky in the fact that they got a good crop of young players through the academy and the young players they did buy came good like ronaldo etc
man city is now a massive rival for them, winner, champs league, wages but just as important is their facilities - once th eethiad development is finished it will be one of the best football centres in the world.

I wouldn't go as far as saying he is shit. His record at numerous big clubs and at international level is very impressive if you ask me.

Decent appointment for them but i still feel there's a lot of work to be done as well as the new players needing time to gel I don't think they will make top 4 next season.

He causes too many rumpuses wherever he goes THIS WILL END IN TEARS I certainly hope so I love the BBC description of van Gaal as, "unburdened by modesty". A couple of interesting press conferences next season with Mourinho me thinks !!!!

No better manager in world football. Guardiola made a name from following the foundations left in place by him.

The main problem I have with this post is that I keep seeing vaginal as opposed to vangaal! You'd better hope that if/when he loses his job, it isn't reported as a vangaal discharge, Mike!

It would be very, very funny if he relegated them*.
*This being the usual response to one of our midtable peers appointing a new manager.
