I really don't get why they don't put some aside, stick a mill in the bank and you're sorted for life even if you spunk all of the rest, probably didn't help him that he married a bint clearly interested in nothing but his money. All utter bollocks (as ever) please ignore.

bet he is still living in a mansion and driving around in a Bentley. we as a country are too soft on people who rack up millions in debt and then say "im sorry I cannot pay it off" declare themselves bankrupt and paying all the creditors about 2.5p to the £ who pays in the end? we all do us honest people get shafted because everything we buy as already been increased in price by bad debts. do the bankers lose out? do they fuck

Same old story, footballer with loads of money and not as much brains as he thinks visits financial adviser who tells him not to buy anything outright because your heaps of cash in the bank, make more money than you pay in the interest on your loans, therefore you're better off having a mortgage on a house you could afford to buy outright, than you are actually buying it. Footballer spends/loses money, gets divorced, drops down division. His pile of cash dwindles and the loans start to look a bit more like a bad idea. Moral of the story. If you can afford to buy shit, fucking buy it.

How can you lose money investing in property? you buy a house. rent it out to make at least enough money to maintain it and in most cases way more. then worst comes to worst you need a bit of money for something you can sell it, usually for a bit more or less than what you bought it for.

I suppose coming into that sort of money at a young age it's easy to get just spend it on luxuries as soon quick as it comes in. Though you'd have thought some of the thick fuckers would realise that football isn't usually a lifelong career and set a bit aside or make investments. Surely on that sort of money they can afford a decent financial adviser, these stories are astoundingly common.

You get a mortgage/s when you've got 10million in the bank and earn 50k a week. You earn more interest on the money in the bank than you pay on interest on the mortgage so you're better off than you would be if you paid up front if you end up paying off the mortgage. But if you piss the money up the wall or lose half in a divorce and all of a sudden you earn nowhere near 50k a week then you try to remortgage and the interest rate goes up and all of a sudden you're fucked.

Funny how things go sometimes Absolutely true. Similarly, in Summer 2004 SAF wanted Ronaldinho for 25m but lost out to Barcelona. The consolation prize was Ronaldo!
