You'd have thought they would have learned their lesson by now after the big points deduction and two relegations a few years back. To be honest, next time they hit the financial buffers they should simply be told that they won't be allowed to compete in any professional football League in England. Perhaps Scotland would like them as the third big club in their league system?

What could amass £100,000 a day though? Puzzling

Their demise started years ago TBF. After they had won the old Div 1 in 91-92 under Wilkinson and Ridsdale took out massive loans in the expectation that they would continue to compete for PL title regularly and spend the foreseeable future in EUFA CL. They didn't and struggled mainly in mid table for the next few seasons under various high profile managers which included Venables, O'Leary, Reid before being relegated. I actually like Leeds as we have had some humdinger games against them over the years. Would like to see them back in PL.

They could start by turning the lights off. Most nights when I drive past on the M621 it's lit up like a christmas tree........
