Spot on Ted.
It's exciting on a match day now and not bored shitless hoping for summat exciting happen under the last clown who nearly finished me off with football.
Good riddance I say to the disgusting horrible football and the bullshit that went with it and the 100million wasted on mostly average dross.

Talking of the Palace away game (which was pretty crap to be fair), where is that bloke who was sitting directly behind me in the away end who frankly, appeared to be having an alcohol induced mental breakdown, screaming at the Stoke dug out saying that we were relegated and Hughes was the biggest **** ever to set foot inside Stoke City FC. Yea he was two away from me on the same row Ge was well gone and very angry And happily, totally wrong What makes it for me is I go now knowing we will have a go and try and at some nogga Yet we still combine it with the old Stoke of sheer determination Spurs at home was a wonderful blend of the underdog, the bearpit and some fantastic nogga, even if we did lose Going down 1 0 to Villa confirmed the new Stoke The belief was there, the nogga was there and it was a joy to behold. No sitting back but no going ho. Players playing for each other and for the club and for the manager Long may it continue

Excellent post, Ted - I think you've pretty much summarised my feelings entirely.
I agree also with your cautionary message for next season. Expectation will be higher than ever and a repeat top ten place may not come as readily as some would like.
We must keep our heads and our expectation in check as we are now playing a style of football reliant upon confidence and form.
What a great time to be a Stokie again, though, eh?
Very, very proud...

I've had to dislike the original post just to add a bit of balance. Why?

I aggree with most of the op but I have never fallen out of love with scfc, even the last season under tp we were never as bad as was being mentioned on here.imo tp failed to replace matty and jp thats why we had to protect what we had. mh has come in as manager of scfc despite being saddened by the loss of tp mh still had my 100% support, there were many doubters before xmas and the whinging at the end of the transfer window was unbelievable. But I allways maintained that there are at least 3 teams worse than us, and unless major surgery happens I predict a long hard season for newcastle, sunderland, hull, villa, baggies, not to mention the 3 teams that come up. I am allready excited for next season I wouldnt be that dissapointed if we went into the new season with the same squad as we have now.allready people are calling on pc to spend but unless the right player comes along at the right price I would keep the powder dry until we need it.

Agree with your post.I supported TP and MH, but didn't want either as manager. We have come good at the end of the season, but the early games were as dire as the worst of Stoke under TP. Hopefully, next season, we will get the football we had at the end not the early season stuff.
