The Coates dynasty are now officially billionaires according to Radio 5 this morning. Amazing achievement from working class roots in S-O-T. Hopefully stability for years to come for the club.

I like to think that we can play our part in reducing their tax liability by more and more as their profits continue to boom elsewhere !!

But I expect that we will hear the words " we can't afford him " from those more educated types of supporter . Those whose parents had cars in the 60s.
How many tins of spam does a billionaire need to Buy in retirement anyway.?
I should know , but I've forgotten.

To see this kind of back-to-back growth of wealth is something dreams are made of and I hope they continue to invest in Stoke for as long as possible. It can only lead to great things, can't it? Stoke City, European Champions 2020! (Ok, I went too far )

Makes you wonder what the family will do over the next few years. The must be scope for Bet365 to grow for a few years yet but there won't be a need (or any sense) in ploughing the majority of the profits into the existing business. You'd think that, at some point in the next year or so the family will be looking to diversify, if only to avoid having too many eggs in one basket. I suspect that Denise will already be looking around for another opportunity to invest at least some of the Bet365 profits into.

You can bet (see what I did there) that she'll be hoping to crack America.

I walked around Festival Park and I was told 'the family' own much of the land aswell as the site they're redeveloping. Land has always made money and the area should generate good ground rents ad infinitum.

Being based in the UK and already paying 15% Gross Profit Tax on Sportsbook and having a huge overseas client base, (60% of all clients) they will be less affected by the 'point of consumption tax' coming in at the end of the year than any of their competitors and will go from strength to strength.
This new tax is a massive issue for even the biggest bookies (it’s suggested that it will turn internet profits for Ladbrokes and Coral into losses on their internet businesses) but Bet365 will be least affected out of the lot. There will be lots of merger and acquisition activity as a result and one more Democratic Government and the US market will fully open up. You can only conclude that world domination awaits!
They’re pretty good at this business stuff aren’t they?

They own a huge amount of properties on the Etruria Estate and when one comes available they buy it. Good for the business and new employees, not so good for families wishing to move near by.

I couldn't help noticing that there were not one but two sons or families of Stoke-On-Trent in the UK's 100 billionaires list. The other, richer that the Coates's, being John Phones4U Caudwell who it said is spending £190 million on knocking 2 Mayfair Mansions together. Seems he has ploughed the rest in to cosmetic improvements on his wife who, while eminently shaggable, does look somewhat over baked
