Sorry if already posted, I went to the event at the kings hall a couple of years ago and for £20 and a bit of snapping I thought it was great. Why have SCFC turned it from a fans event to a corporate event?
Thoughts.

I went on a jolly, was a good night, players were sound.
Agree it would be great to have it in a bigger venue where supporters can go as well

fuck me have the moaners from the vale board come over to ours? Proven scientifically that moaning (in particular at the tv and radio)is good for you. The day I stop moaning you can shoot me.

Could've sworn I read £300 on Twitter, may have been wrong though. was that for the whole table of 10? if so isnt bad value this years..... Only a limited number of VIP Packages for the event are still available, priced £3,000 plus VAT for a table of 10 who will be joined for the night by a current member of the first team squad. Guests will dine from a sumptuous four-course banqueting menu at a table in a prime position in the room. Individual places available at £300 + vat pp. last years.... The tickets, priced just £15, will give fans the opportunity to watch the glittering awards ceremony with the use of a private paid bar.

not from what i've seen. as has been said, it seems to have completely changed into corporate only (yes, you can buy individual tickets for £300 a pop but they're obviously priced to keep the scum like us Joe Publics away).
my guess is that Stafford turned up last year and there were complaints after he got drunk and made a pass at our then manager

£360 to the joe public. Only £300 if you can push it through as a business expense and get the Vat back.

I just wonder what made them to decide to raise it? Is it because we've been more successful on the pitch?

We are gradually turning into a Premier League monster - it was bound to happen. If you want top tier football you have to play the game.

Just for once wouldn't it be a great gesture for the club to say thank you to its fans and make it a free evening instead of ripping fans off once again. Instead of the Kings Hall they should stick a marquee up at the Brit and put on drink and BBQ for a few thousand. PL football clubs fleece the fans in anyway possible.

I can hear what you are all saying
But you cant on one hand complain that the club is backward/League 2 standard off the pitch commercially, then when they do something of Premier League standard (which is was, it was very nice, not that I would have paid that much wedge if it was mine to spend!) you complain its too la de da as you want a pie and pea supper and as much lager as you can drink
And even an event for a few thousand fans - who would they be - who gets selected - who misses out etc - they cant win at times.
The guys that invited me also took us to Old Trafford this year for our game, and I can tell you it was MORE expensive in the Utd Europa suite for a league game (meal, goody bag, corp seats) than the Stoke awards night which is a one off event.
The players were accessible and friendly for photos etc, you just couldnt do that with thousands of blokes pissed up hugging anything resembling a player for photos.
I get the comments on the cost, I do, and it was very corporate - but given where we are the days of players in pubs or mingling in a massive crowd are gone alas.
Dont they dish out a lot of what they raise to charities locally anyway? If so its a good way of getting businesses to raise that money.

when was the last club open training day Last one i remember was after the brentford play off final before the start of 02-03 season I think that was the day our Oatcake A 5 a side team lost in the final of the on pitch tournament after training to the young Leek CSOB side WiseMaster in charge, me, MCF, Macca and a few others played (we also had a B team) Best memory was beating an old Stoke team of Sinclair, Beeston and a few others in our first game 2-1!
