What a fantastic end to the home season and a brilliant display. The team showed how we should beat lesser teams. I am so looking forward to next season.
So what left a nasty taste in my mouth? Our thuggish stewards. At the end of the match whilst our victorious U17s took there lap of honour, I noticed in the away end multitude of stewards surrounding seats and looking down between them. I then noticed a young boy aged 8 or 9 or even younger being pushed away from the scene by a steward, the young boy, obviously very distressed, tried on at least two occasions to get to who or what the stewards were looking at. Each time he was pushed back neither gently or sympathetically. My thoughts were that his guardian had collapsed and the stewards were trying to revive him my criticism, as a former firefighter, was that somebody should have taken the boy away from the scene and reassured him. This didn't happen, a Fulham supporter ran to the child while more stewards ran towards the scene. But then to my astonishment stewards picked a guy up off of the ground restraining him, he was struggling and the boy was now in the arms of the other Fulham supporter. As the stewards struggled with the other guy a number of them ran away from the scene down to the advertising boards. By now a number of angry Fulham fans had gathered and were pointing to a steward and obviously accusing him of something. The 'offender' was taken to the player's tunnel with God knows how many stewards attached to him meanwhile the young boy in the arms of somebody who may have been a stranger was reaching out to the offender, distressed and in tears.
The young boy was roughly dealt with, he wasn't reassured he was basically treated as another supporter would be. Whatever the guy did, he may well have deserved to be taken away, the young boy did not deserve to go through the trauma he did.
The stewards were all running to the scene, there were more than enough already there but they all wanted to be part of the action and completely ignored the distress the young boy was in. These stewards, men and women are rank amateurs at what they do, unfortunately Stoke's stewards are gaining a negative reputation
Although the offender is responsible for his behaviour and the position he put the boy in, he was not responsible for the way the boy was dealt with and the bunch of Mutleys that we're trying to gain medals.

These stewards are more of a blight on our clubs name than any of our hooligan past & worst is they p!$$ everyone off, home & away fans. Let's not forget their conspicuity by absence when the Stoke fan got hit in the posh seats this season. Who are these cnuts, someone must know'em or are they shipped in!?!

Our stewards are woeful, I've emailed the club on several occasions about them. Poor lad, we mightn't know the full story to what happened but either way no kid should be seeing that

If there is any hint of trouble they wade in mob handed with total disregard for anyone's safety. I notice rat boy was at the forefront again. They are a disgrace.

I hope that the young boy was okay, as our stewards seemed to have no concern for the fact that he appeared to be on his own. Luckily there was 1 Fulham fan who went to him and hopefully was able to get him reunited with whoever he was with.
Somebody at the club should be looking into this and be concerned that the stewards were not interested in the fact that by dragging a parent/guardian away that they were leaving an upset kid on their own.
It was absolutely disgraceful and I was hoping that one of the stewards might have actually realised that they were leaving a minor in a vulnerable position. Unfortunately, it appeared that they were not interested.

I saw most of that incident. The whole episode was a little confusing. What drew my attention to it was a steward running over to a guy seemingly wedged between the seats. When they managed to get him up and standing he was then frogmarched away by 4 or 5 stewards. While it was going on I definitely saw a female steward comforting the young boy. A group of Fulham fans then got involved and the remaining stewards withdrew I think to calm the situation.

She didn't comfort him but she did seem to be having a go at a steward that had been pushing the kid away, she was undoubtedly trying to help the boy and before she could comfort him the Fulham fan went to his aid.

Their shirts say 'Showsec' which are a Manchester based security outfit. I think some are from outside security companies and others are employed directly by the club.

I was quite away off but from what I saw some loony Fulham fan tried to run toward the front and was tackled to the ground by the stewards before he could get anywhere near the pitch but what the hell was he thinking if he'd got a kid with him?

I dunno if the bloke was the kid's guardian or not, and it did look pretty frightening for the poor lad (my guess was 8 or 9), but the bloke they were taking away (who I read elsewhere had come sliding down a load of rows and landed on the kid?) didn't half take some restraining. Even when they'd got to the tunnel it looked like there was about 8 on him and even then it looked touch and go who was winning. :/

If they are Showsec then they can be thugs, theyare security at manchester apollo and if you go to a seated concert you take your life in your hands if you dare take a photo.

To be fair the woman steward was trying to help him. Was hard to tell how it all kicked off, they seemed to be trying to get them to leave the stadium.

After far too long, a woman did come and attend to the little kid but the blokes involved looked a joke. From what one Fulham fan seemed to be making out, a steward had needlessly grabbed somebody around the throat.
Even from such a distance the whole thing stunk and the stewards looked pathetic.

I saw it all from Block 11. So did my two kids The kid in the away end was about 4/5, and I reckon that he was with the guy who was being pulled out. Can't imagine he'd done too much to threaten others, but if someone had dragged me out like that and left my kid on his own, then it would take at least 7-8 stewards to get me out.
Some stewards had to be restrained from confronting the Fulham fans at the end, who mostly were just watching the lap of honour, applauding Stoke fans (weird I know), and taking in the fact that this was their last Premier away day for some time. It looked like the stewards were on a bonus to empty the away end by 5 o'clock

Best way deal with them is to shout for their number. We did it back of the south stand against spurs. About ten minutes from the end the police left their positions down the netting by the spurs fans then the stewards started to get involved.
When stoke fans in front of me were having banter with the spurs fans one tall steward I see there most weeks with a skin head shouted, and I quote 'shut your fucking mouths you wankers' which as you can imagine nearly caused a riot.
Once we shouted for his number all the stewards then turned to face the game again and it all eventually calmed.
They shouldn't try or be able to stop banter between fans.

We saw what happened from our seats in Block 11 as well. The guy was just sitting there whilst the boy was playing around the seats. There was what seemed to be a long argument between the man and stewards. I think they were trying to get him to move either further back or out of the stadium. Then a whole group of stewards started manhandling the guy up the stairs. Couldn't see how it happened but the man fell between the seats. The stewards didn't even seem to have a thought about the young lad there. He got very upset. One of the women stewards did try to comfort him and was visibly angry as she shouted at the other stewards. The man was eventually taken off around the front. Another Fulham supporter picked up the lad and went off presumably to find where they'd taken the guy. It was extremely heavy handed in the least and a real shame. As if the Fulham fans hadn't already had a bad enough afternoon.
