Been in a queue at the ground since 08:40. Must have been 150 in front of me and by the time I left ticketless there would have been the same number after me.
Sorry if this offends and if you've got a ticket via Tint or phone you won't give a shit but people going in person must get priority. They should certainly not be selling tickets on the phone whilst people are queuing.
Save the abuse I'm too fucked off to bother.

I was on the phone for 90 minutes, didn't get a ticket, it's just one of those things. Not every one can get to the ground so there should be no priority at all IMO. How are they to know how many to reserve for people arriving in person ?
Also there could be 200 in the queue but half of those could be purchasing numerous other tickets for mates ?
1st come 1st served is the only possible outcome. By any means.

Penk, you have my sympathy over not getting a ticket but there are many like myself living a long way from the ground who can't possibly come to the Brit to purchase them. I usually buy on line but as 1 of our 5 doesn't have 'priority' I had to wait until today. Imagine how I felt at 7am when the "Sold Out" sign was up! I could have bought 4 yesterday no problem, but didn't want 1 guy on his own.
Luckily (for us) I managed to buy 5 over the telephone just after 9am. As I say, I sympathse with your plight but us "exiles" do need to be able to buy too
Cheers

Save the abuse I'm too fucked off to bother. So, basically what you are saying is that, whilst the ticket office is open selling tickets for popular games, club should take the phone off the hook (and presumably pull the plug on the online sales as well) until the ticket office shuts or the queue disappears? That's really weird. There was nothing to stop you buying online but there may have been good reasons why people who bought online or on the phone could not get to the ticket office.

Online, Ticket office and phone should all be available at the same time.
Opening the online tickets at midnight is a bit shit to be honest.

Chorlton - spot on, it is also very haphazard as to when seats are loaded, other than that the system is about as fair as it can be

Sorry penk, but that's bullshit. Nobody should get priority. I work 5 days a week, there's no way I could make it to the ground. I can only do it via phone or Internet.
The only thing I don't like is that people are saying they went online at midnight. If I'd known, I would have stayed up, but I figured they went online at 9am via ticket office, phone, and Internet, to give everyone an equal opportunity.

The kid on the phone did say they might consider applying for another 500 more, so anyone who has hung up, ring back. They've got a waiting list. I too missed out unfortunately.

Like metalhead above, I assumed tickets would be available online when the ticket office opens rather than midnight.
I suggest you cool off, have a brew and realise your suggestion is incredibly flawed.

500 to Swansea 500 to Newcastle 500 to Sunderland 1000 to Norwich Barely sold 2000 at Cardiff which was up there with the biggest following of the season. But today we could of sold 5000 probably if we had the tickets

Always going to be disappointment when demand outstrips supply by at least 2 to 1 but it's anther typical Stoke City fuck up to give one channel a 9 hour window over the others.
By the way, RIP Platinum Ponces, you were born lived and died a bunch of bastards.

Queuing at the ground is soooooo 2012.
Though it does make you a better supporter for which you should be given VIP status.
