I like Assaidi. But i'd love us to try and get Moses as i can't see him getting any game time back at Chelsea.

Would he be happy to come here to sit on the bench? I'm not so sure.

I think he's improved a lot since he first arrived and I wouldn't be against us signing him for the right price. I think there's potentially more to come from him as well and he seems like a confidence player so hopefully a decent run of 1st team/ squad involvement will give him this.

I would sign him, I think he has done a pretty good job for us. I don't think he is good enough for the "new" Liverpool team, so lets get him!

I'd rather have assaidi than ince tbh. Less drama. He'll be a Stokie perm with Kightly and Ethers leaving. Bet hughes will focus on a younger RW signing.

Are people just trying to keep the price down on here ?... if so I'm off message - no way he is only worth 2m. He will be a key player for us next year.

Wouldnt be that bothered either way, hes done ok nothing more. If we're talking 3-4mill then it would be better spent elsewhere? A right back for starters!

We should sign him. He isn't afraid to run at players and get a shot off

He's clearly good at cutting in and shooting with his right foot - I expected that. But he also has a decent cross with his wrong (i.e. left) foot and that surprised me. And, of course, he has pace to burn.
I don't know how many games I would start him ahead of Arnie. But I can't think of a better option to bring on as an impact sub - with the occasional start. Go get him Tone Les!

Liverpool only paid 2.4M for him. oh right, not sure what relevance that has...are players values suddenly stuck at the rate of their previous transfer ? He's now proving he can cut it in the prem, that makes him worth more in my book.

He can't get a game there, isn't a fixture in the side here, so it's not a massive shout to suggest he wouldn't cost a lot more than what they paid for him?

No he's not a million miles from the squad at all. He's very highly regarded as a matter of fact . Several coaches and ex players have gone on record to say that they rate him more highly than Victor Moses. I was talking to one Liverpool coach three days ago who told me that he was off to Stoke . He was right by the sounds of things. Moses had so much promise, but the Chelsea thing appears to have struck yet again Sturridge did ok when he left Chelsea.

If we could get him for a reasonable fee (£2m) then he'd be worth it as cover for Marko but I can't see him replacing him atm.

He is on very big wages and that is very much the issue. Stoke only pay 40% at the moment.

he's basically a Moroccan Ethers when Matty was at his peak for us. don't see why anyone would quibble with us signing him up, we haven't had anyone else since Ethers in 2011 who was willing to run at players and commit defenders and isn't that what most on here have been begging for for the last 3 years?

Where are the natural left footers? Saying that, Arnie can put over a lovely cross with his left as can Assaidi. The conundrum with Assaidi is that his absence through injury has given him less time to shine. I'm not sure about him but that's mainly down to his lack of physical presence but with Ethers going and the likely departure of Kightly we need more threat out wide.

He has pretty much shot his bolt at Liverpool. There were a couple of incidents that Liverpool were unhappy with and thats why they put him out on loan and as such, they don't want him back.
Moses would be an excellent addition, but I cannot see us paying what others would pay him.

Given the fact that he's likely only to be used as back-up here, I can see him favouring a move back into a lesser league (E.g France/Holland/Greece) to get more game time. Even somewhere like Leicester might be a good move for him.
I think he's alright but a bit too lightweight. He's scored some great goals but I don't think his contribution as a whole has been that good. Although he has been hindered by inury for the last couple of months.

As mentioned above wages are going to be the stumbling block again. As a first team squad player at Liverpool he'll be on huge money, and will probably have to take a hefty pay cut to sign a permanent deal with us.
When you factor in wages, Redmond might work out cheaper and more realistic.
I don't see him as a Matty Etherington type player. A hugely underated player in my opinion. So often our "out" ball and a great ball carrier moving the ball up the pitch quickly. Etherington's crossing was in a different league to Assaidi's. Consistently in the top 5 for assists for a couple of seasons.
Part of the problem for Tone, was that in Ric, Matty and the 2010/11 JP he got 3 top quality players for under £5m.You just can't replace that kind of quality for anything like that kind of money.

but when you look at some of the shite we have paid over £5m for i think it's fair to say assaidi is well worth a punt for 3-4 m

Not sure how accurate this is, but I doubt he's been given a pay rise since signing for Liverpool. Assaidi will triple the £7,000 per week wages he was being paid by Heerenveen and will sign a four-year contract on Merseyside, plugging the gaps in the squad that have been left by the departures of Dirk Kuyt and Maxi Rodriguez.Read more: www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2189418/Oussama-Assaidi-join-Liverpool-3m-Heerenveen.html#ixzz2ziwXdBwO
