What a load of absolute horse shit. No it isn't horse shit it's the truth. We needed pace and power. He sourced that in January and was stitched up. If he was backed we'd have finished top 8. He should be manager of the year. The man is a legend and although Hughes has done a great job, I personally can't warm to him and one year on I am not embarrassed to say that I still miss TP and wish he was still here. In what way did he 'source it'? Whose fault was it we didn't have it in the first place?

Pulis just "We have a different set of players here which allows me to play a different way to what we did at Stoke" Has he forgot who signed those players at stoke ?

Bad comment that Tone. If the media weren't praising you at the moment they'd jump all over that comment and have a field day. Think he'll regret saying that in the morning. Just listened to the interview and not exactly how the earlier poster who posted it described.

Can't wait for next season. I just have a feeling tone won't be there. Some fall out over funding I think.

We've done it to death, but it's surely not a coincidence that he looks miles better this season (even at 33) with some pace around him than he ever did before. I always said that Jerome suited Tone's 4-4-1-1 far better than Crouch ever did, regardless of the fact that Crouch is a far better footballer. Surely, what CJ has been doing at Palace is enough proof of that ringing true? Could be wrong but I am sure the commentator said it was his first goal in 12 games tonight? Forget how many goals he might have scored himself, just as we shouldn't judge Crouch on his personal goals total- both have contributed to their respective teams functioning well as a whole. That's what's important. Jerome and Chamakh have replicated the Fuller/Mama partnership in the roles they've played, and it's worked very well.

Crouch has always been a very decent player and only Lawrence and Thorne have scored more than him in a single season than he did under his first season under Pulis. It's hardly the rancid buy we've had to have our ears bled to death with this past three years either is he? He wouldn't rate in the top 500 bad buys of Stoke City. Like you say we've done it to death but the season before was the exception rather than rule in terms of goals, the arrival of Crouch coincided with injured wingers and a loss of around 7 or 8 goals per year from our centre halves. Other than when he was brought back too early after his teeth knocked out, he's been a very decent Stoke player and a very decent signing.

Hughes has already said he's looking forward to next season the other day in the sentinel. Has Tone said anything yet or is it job done?

I think Coates should sue him! Just goes to show what TP can do when 100% of a football club is behind him. Nearly as good as the work that LMH has done - in handling the mess that the previous manager left and getting us into 10th with decent football.

I think hughes will be given what he needs for us to improve further. Big turn over of players I think this summer. Don't know what it is with Tone but it just seems like his long term girlfriend has finished with him and he's on the rebound with some scragg and trying to keep smiling.

Utter drivel. He made some mistakes in the transfer market who hasn't. Our biggest problem was the sudden demise of our wingers, not really his fault, he had to do with a cheaper alternative to what he wanted, in kightley.

I don't think he's that good either- he has the touch of a baby hippo and the football intelligence of a dustbin. However, that pace can work well in certain systems- which is why I'm surprised TP didn't utilise him more here.

Outright biggest problem was the sudden demise of our wingers, not really his fault, he had to do with a cheaper alternative to what he wanted, in kightley. Not really his fault? He had every chance to buy one in the window when he spunked £18m on a striker we didn't really need and a crock. He had the next window to buy one and went with Shotton out there instead. He signed one in Kightly and wrote him off after about five games. Of course it was his fault. If your attacking play depends on pace and wingers then you either adapt to a style that doesn't or you make that a priority. He did neither.

Pulis just "We have a different set of players here which allows me to play a different way to what we did at Stoke" Heard him say it - what utter dogs bollox. Which tactical moron signed the players then? The previous manager has uttered some tripe in the past. Tonight, he has made himself sound a complete twat.

Pulis just "We have a different set of players here which allows me to play a different way to what we did at Stoke" And that pretty much confirms that it was one hundred percent the correct decision to dispense with his services last May. Agreed

Anybody looking forward to Cardiff away on Saturday, or have I got the wrong board? I thought that prior to their result at Southampton then they'd have rolled over and let us tickle their tummy. Now, however following that result it's now a whole different ball game.

Why can't some of you so called supporters, just give Pulis credit for what he has done for Stoke City and Crystal Palace?
