Yes but not the majority .....the majority are single malts ....and whisky not whiskey if we are referring to Scottish Malts ...some of the blends are very good in fact

I think you are trying to make a point that is not really relevant , however I will concede that the OP could have been referring to something other than Scottish , however unlikely this may be ....thank you for agreeing with my point of view

I love whiskey, and bourbon too. Gin, rum, and JD ain't bad, but not all in the same evening. Brandy though you can stuff up yer arris.

I did once think of applying for it mate ....but not with Malts as a specialist subject ..... What was the specialist subject? Well my chosen subject at the time was the Apollo Moonlandings ... But I had several more that I could have fallen back on ....still could ...malts may be one now !
