We all know and are probably enjoying (?) the fact that Man United are having a poor season by their standards.
However, putting local rivalries aside, we can’t argue that over the last half a century they have consistently represented British football in Europe and on the world stage and been great ambassadors for our game.
In the circumstances, AND FOR NEXT SEASON ONLY, would it not be appropriate for them to be offered the fourth Champions League slot as a ‘thank you’ for all they have brought to British football through most if not all of our lifetimes?

Give them an honorary PL Championship this season as well in recognition of their achievements. I'm sure Liverpool, Man City and Chelsea will fully understand this gesture. They thoroughly deserve every accolade.

Not got a single defender on the bench tonight and an incredibly weak (although do United know any other this season) first team, mind boggling from Moyes; it's like he's trying to sabotage the club with the lineups and tactics he employs. now watch them go and win it after I said that! #mufc subs vs @fcbayernen: Lindegaard, Hernandez, Nani, Young, Fletcher, Januzaj, Kagawa. #MUFCBAYERN #mufc vs @fcbayernen: De Gea, Jones, Ferdinand, Vidic, Büttner, Valencia, Carrick, Fellaini, Giggs, Rooney, Welbeck. #MUFCBAYERN Giggs and Ferdinand are both very slow players considering the pace they're up against, Buttner has never impressed me, Welbeck is the definition of a donkey... their only player resembling a defender on the bench is Fletcher, can't help thinking it's just asking for trouble!

& to prevent this unfortunate situation occurring again (it is,damaging English football apparently), at the end of this season the following will happen;
A) Man Utd will be allowed to sign any of their rivals players they wish
B) signings will attract no fee
C) players will continue to be paid by former club
D) anyone else who Man Utd choose will be repatriated or forced to play for Accrington Stanley.
You know it makes sense

Off the BBC website,
Luke, Bristol: Swap deal - Lallana and Rodriguez for Cleverley, Young and Valencia. Throw in a few weeks of Rooney's salary to sweeten the deal. See if Shawcross fancies coming back for a bit until someone better comes along.

If someone could guarantee me that Arsenal will finish 4th (hopefully Everton can pip them) then, and only then, would I want Manure to win the Champions League.
Outside of that scenario, I hope they get absolutely walloped both tonight and in the return leg.

It's a word that isn't used anywhere near enough these days Oh and I agree as I've got money on Bayern!

United started well I thought but Munich are making sure they control the game, Welbeck's goal should've been allowed!

If I was a united full back up against robben or ribery I'd have a word in their ear. Go past me and I'll snap you in two and put you out the euros.
Harsh, but enough to put them off their game. Its their only chance I'd say.
