My little boy got into trouble at school yesterday.
For sport relief the kids could pay a pound and go to school in sports gear.
My 6 year old went in his Stoke strip. Lots of kids had Manure strips on.
According to his teacher he had to stand under the clock for the first time ever because when the other kids were chanting Man United at him, he responded by shouting "Shit, Shit, Shit" back at them.
Apparently the teacher asked him what he had said. He told her and when she asked why he said it he said "because they are the shit Mrs Lund".
Mummy was appalled, Daddy was very proud! :-)

my daughter is not yet two and amongst her first words were 'ricardo fuller' and ' Stoke city'. I've just started to teach her how to hate man utd, arsenal, and of course port vale. I think we have that responsibility as parents

It was my big sister that taught me to hate Man U, it was the only discussion we've ever had on football, and it was 40 odd years ago.

He settled on 17 and his name on the away one and 4 Huth on the home. Shawcross wouldn't fit on the away one! It is, as you say, a parental responsibility to educate them properly. I just need to quash his interest in Burnley now! :-) hopefully 6 points next season should do the trick.

Are port vale still on the radar? For me they always will be. Living in Glasgow now it will be hard to inspire a hatred of port vale in my daughter as she grows up but I'll try my best. Maybe I should just censor them all together though, one look at an image of their unwashed support may be too disturbing, like watching the film ' the hills have eyes'

That made me smile For financial reasons we convinced ourselves that we really couldn't renew this season and would have a year spending on the house, helping big un out at University in September etc, given all the years we've paid in excess of £1000 to take our eldest and the extra expense of taking our youngest since she was 3....she's 7 now. It would crush her if we said we weren't going next season....I simply can't do it. Supporting this club is not a head decision, it's a heart one and nothing makes me prouder than watching her assessing the league table and deciding who we need to win and lose and the permutations of the outcome...she's becoming Opta Joan! Edit: Well done to the club for the 'free ticket for potter 7's' Although we sit in the Boothen and the ticket is for the family stand so the upgrade will cost a bit, but still a reduction!

and we wonder why society is going down the shittter Unnecessary comment SGS No need to defend me SGS. Nononsense is actually quite the opposite and quite frankly, I couldn't care 2 hoots what he thinks. My lad is obsessed with football at the minute and the fact he knows them as the shit (he actually read it on here in a thread titled Shit v ??? And I then had to explain it to him) is perfectly fine by me. I thought it was incredibly funny and coming from a 6 year old, very clever. Mummy can make sure he is a credit to society. I'll make sure he supports the right team!

What a star!
Reminds me of a similar incident that happened on a primary school trip of mine to Old Trafford. Snuck my Stoke scalf and a marker pen on the bus with me.... putting on the scarf half way round the tour and writing some childish "SCFC R DA BEST" type graffiti all over the shop.
Needless to say i got caught with the pen and given a right old bollocking of the school and my mum... Old man didn't have to much to say though surprisingly enough!

Our neighbour (3 doors away) is a West Brom nut and goes to all of their matches. When we won 3 - 0 at their place a few years ago, we passed him with his WBA number plate on M6 on the way home. My lad was about 7 and I told him to wave at our neighbours as I peeped the horn. Little did I know that he'd wave with his 2 fingers and make a circle with his thumb and index finder and wave his arm up and down at them! Rather embarrassing next time I saw him in our street.

Personally don't get this obsession with other teams certain Stokies have. I couldn't give a toss about any other team. I watch only the Stoke game on match of the day and have no idea about other teams or even who plays for them these days - admittedly a bit ignorant.
This name calling is a bit pathetic and not something I would encourage in my children, but each to his own. People have the right to support who they want and children should not be sworn at just because they wear a United top.
Also, quite why we have this obsession with Port Vale is beyond me, it is like they have some sort of hold over us and are the biggest club in the potteries, also a bit pathetic and small minded. I personally would like to see them match us and one day play us in the prem - surely would be great for the area and great to have some passionate derbies
