Cracking game, doesn't look his age - seems to run like a teenager, what a joy it is to see someone look so genuinely happy to be here though. His face on the big screen when his name was being chanted and the way he just kept waving like he couldn't believe the love he was getting. He looks as pleased to have us as I am we've got him at the minute. Lovely stuff. Warms the cockles. Good lad.

Superb game today. Could have easily got motm, I'm shocked at how well he does the dirty work, the lad is brilliant helping out in defence

His reaction to when the Stoke fans were singing his name was priceless!

And to think, we swapped him for Jones.
An excellent piece of business.

Poor mans Kenwyne Jones A deal which had me thinking "Why would we do that?" and then made me think "Thank fuck we did that!" Brilliant bit of business, so long Kenny and Cardiff Steady!

I honestly get very frustrated with him at times because of careless passing and holding on to the ball too long. However, would we have got 3 goals out of Kenywne? important goals at that, probably not, and his attitude always seems great so hats off to him.

I think he genuinely loves being here. He has really made the grade so far, in my opinion. If he's guilty of anything, it has been trying too hard and it comes across as careless or selfish when he has the ball. I think he was allowed a little bit more freedom today, possibly due to our personnel deficit, and much like Arnie, he shone as a result. The boys keep on giving Hughesy a selection headache....suits me fine

Christ, how on earth did you ever survive the experience of watching Kenwyne game after game?

Never wanted him here and although he does make quite a few little mistakes as mentioned, none have cost us yet, he knows where the net is and knows how to get in positions to be effective. Ken would never have put that away for his second but Wingie was so calm about it, it was like second nature to him. Great signing imo compaired to having that lazy donkey in the side

I lose count of the number of time I shout "OH GOD NOT THERE FOR FU... oh well played" when he dicks about in/around our own box, but it's just so good to see someone so genuinely enthusiastic. He's like a Stoke-supporting puppy with goals.

His defensive work was excellent and his 2nd goal was a screamer, linked well worked hard has pace a few tricks and knows where the back of the net is. Gouranga.

I really like Peter, tries his heart out, never shirks and like folk have said he seems to respond fantastically to the crowd. He made a point of clapping all four sides as he left the pitch today. Great player, great attitude, great business. I think he's adaptable, can see him causing chaos if played through the middle too. Hope he gets in the Nigeria side, it'll be another team to follow.
Der Der Der Peter Odemwingie... he loved it.

I don't see what's not to like, if Kenwyne was still here Ireland would have been passing into empty space.

I don't think there is much doubt we got the best out of the swap deal now.
Can you imagine kenwyne making the effort to overlap Ireland for the 3rd goal sheer power of will.
The joy on his face when he heard the crowd singing his name yesterday was wonderful.
After his trials and tribulations over the past 2 years it's clear to me he's going to take this opportunity with both hands and stoke will be the better for it.

Its starting to look very good for us with this deal.
He was a little bit quiet in the first half but again he was one of those players that came to life when the game opened up.

What I find odd about the Wingie/Jones swap is that a manager with the playing pedigree of Solskjaer would prefer to have Jones in his squad to Odemwingie. Doesn't make sense to me - I'm glad it panned out that way, though.

Its starting to look very good for us with this deal. He was a little bit quiet in the first half but again he was one of those players that came to life when the game opened up. He also did an excellent job of supporting Geoff throughout the game yesterday, covered a lot of ground and was clearly delighted with his 2nd goal and the response of the crowd. Some very good linking play with Ireland, Arnie and Crouch - great business for us in an otherwise "quiet" January transfer window

The thing that makes him stand out is his touch, superbly calm on the ball under pressure, pretty much found his man with the right pass every time. My only complaint is we need to get the ball to him more often in advanced positions, we have a tendency to drift left than look right. I thought he was just a mercenary after another transfer bonus when he first came but he seems genuinely happy to be playing in this team and yes bowled over by the boothen love Lets hope his legs last at least another season.

Absolutely kidda, owd Peter's knocking on a bit, but he's got fantastic feet and he's a definite ball player. Took his goal so well, it was almost like lookin' in the mirror!

I like the way he whips the supporters up too... He did it at the Man City away game, gesturing for more noise etc... I liked that about him.
