Muniesa? who's that? ohh the lil' Spaniard who gave Demel, Diame and Carroll fits even with giving a stonewall peno he had a mention worthy game, so many important tackles in and near the box he really stepped up for us after we lost the Dutchman.
Take a bow Son.

He will still get some stick by some but judging by the rumours on Pieters injury he is going to get some game time.
Played well for me

Whilst he was 'handballing' the ball he was busy receiving an elbow to the head from Carroll, I doubt the position of his arm was his primary concern.
Not that motd or any fucker in the press will notice.
Edit - thought he was excellent btw.

But these kind of games you want him to play in just like Arnie to grow. Big step up. Pieters looks injured for sure but it looked precautionary to me to not injure him more hes important for us.

Going by what I've seen on facebook apparently Pieters has torn a ligament in his foot

I thought he did very well for a little lad! Agree with Ely I don't think it was a penalty either. He wasn't looking at the ball and was in a headlock at the time!

Not that motd or any fucker in the press will notice. Edit - thought he was excellent btw. Trevor Francis described that elbow in the face as "he wasn't obstructed in the slightest" Usual Francis shite Having said that, it wasn't obvious at first sight and i was quite surprised it wasn't given.

How come the commentators says blatant handball yet say the Arsenal one was not?

It's the best he's played in a Stoke shirt I agree. Yeah, I agree as well. Caught out a couple of times but worked hard and - blatant handball aside - did more than enough to suggest he'll be at least as good at covering Ekker, as Wilse has been at covering Robbie Huth. (that said, hopefully Ekker isn't out for the rest of the season)

Thought he had a cracking game, handball aside. I was impressed he stood up to the Wet Sham fuckers considering theyre a bit of a lump-it, hard-knock team who like to 'mix it up' a bit, its obvious that he has been on the weights. I was also impressed with him going forward, looks a decent threat in that area.

Really impressed with him, dont think he is strong enough for centre half but more than good enough at LB. Very composed and retains the ball with the better players

He was brilliant. I was worried when Pieters went down but I think with his attacking play we played much better. And he dealt with the high ball well and their strong fuckers. Chuffed to bits for him tbh!

What's all this "handball aside" nonsense? The BBC said it was a"stonewall penalty". It's all complete bollox. The bloke elbowed the ball as a result of an elbow round the neck from Carroll that nearly upended him...in Rugby Union, Carroll would have been sent off for potential spearing. It was a normal football challenge . It was neither a foul by Carroll or a handball by Muniesa. Just a challenge for the ball. In today's sanitized world the foul was by the WHU player..it was not by Muniesa!

Why would people be surprised?
He's a very good footballer. He's played well whenever he's been given the chance, Everton away aside.
He's 20 years of age and will go on to be a very good signing for us.

tuum any handball against a London club is a nailed on penalty and any handball by a London club is always a soft one that is only sometimes given!

Million per cent better than anything I have seen him produce before. Have to be patient with players brought in from abroad - but sometimes its hard to remember that !
