As someoen who loves watching England, I have to shake my head and laugh at all the negative comments on here about our national team. These folks will live and die supporting a pretty crap team like Stoke City, but when their national team, who are always just as crap play, they deride them no end ! This is Spain in diguise though we (England that is ) play four four two attack the bi-line and cross for a centre forward , backed up with powerful runs by powerful players who shrug off defenders and crack the ball in the back of the net ripping thee netting off. Or did I dream all that in 1966 or 1970 or even when Owen and Lineaker played we still didn't play tippy tappy back pass. Like I said I can't wait for the end of Spanish tippy tappy.

Feckin dreadful - visions of Woy with his stupid owl face glumly disembarking at Heathrow following an ignominious exit at the group stage....... If England win this, it will do the nation a disservice by concealing some terminal problems inside a hollow victory. As I was saying...

At least our boys look like they have some appetite. Whereas the international dullards play with the level of passion projected by daft and simple Woy.

oatcakesteve.. that may be the case,,,, but you can drink beer wherever you want in the ground (to a point), take the piss out of anything and anyone without fear of reprisal (as long as you can take it yourself), go in and out to the pub at breaks to eat and drink and be merry, travel the world to sunny places with a gang of lads that resembles away days in the 70's.... and watch a team lose whilst not really giving a fuck (like we do with Stoke)
overall, some of the better experiences of my sporting supporterdom thinking of following curling next year...

Let's take the positives out of tonight, shaw and lallana look class acts, Johnson came back in and did well. The other Liverpool lads did ok and will probably get better. As for smalling wilshere and Rooney, I'd rather not say

We won, but that still doesn't excuse the fact that we're shit. No creativity, no flair and tactics that seemed as if they're made up by some tactic randomising app. minutes before kick-off. All in all a typical Woy team.
The only decent things to come out of that match was Shaw and Lallana.

After watching Smalling's passing tonight (only saw from 56mins onwards though) I'd like to know what reason Hodgson could give for not picking Shawcross. Smalling couldn't pass wind.

As for smalling wilshere and Rooney, I'd rather not say Totally agree with you there Clyde. I thought your defence was awful, well smalling was especially. I may be slightly biased however based on their performance I really dispair why Shawcross or Dawson are not in the squad?? Missed tackles, poor positioning, afraid of attacking the ball in the air..... You will get destroyed in the WM with that level of performance. I believe without Gerrard acting as a defensive shield in front of the two CBs, Denmark would have had far more chances and possibly scored. I know we only won 1:0 against Chile, however we still dominated, allowed a few debutants begin and played around with different systems.... I thought Gerrard was your best player, despite Andy Townsend's choice, and it wasn't until Llalana ans Shaw came on that you (England) showed any sense of urgency.... Worryingly for you guys :/
