Thought he did very well today. Just seen the pen on another thread and he got that bang on. Punished that French twat for diving, and was very fair to both teams
Well done.

Apart from booking Pieters for a quite superb tackle and letting Giroud con him for the foul on the edge of our box, I was surprised at how well he reffed the game today.
Mr Jones is normally a wank ref who loves nothing more than helping the big teams to another 3 points but he was very decent today.
The fact we barely noticed him can only be a good thing.

hmmmm I don't think the Aresehole fans will agree with you.
I would say we got the benefit of the doubt on more than 1 occasion

Let the game flow. Didn't try and get his name in the papers. If only other refs could follow suit.

I slaughtered him before the game but I was amazed and astounded with the way he handled the game. Was there one point (the Pieters booking aside) when we even noticed him let alone considered slagging him.

That's about spot on, Dave. I said just before kick off what a little spunk bubble he normally is but fair play he was very decent today save for the Pieters booking.

Mike Jones will not referee in the Premier League this weekend after his controversial display in Manchester City's 2-0 win over Newcastle.
The Chester official came under scrutiny after he enraged Newcastle boss Alan Pardew by ruling out Cheick Tiote's equaliser due to a contentious offside
He is human after all.
