So, I've read a lot of comments on here as of late in regards to people slagging off every player you can think of, (including Begovic!) and I am curious as to what everyone's team would be when all are fit.
Begovic
Wilson Huth Ryan Pieters
Odemwingie Cameron Adam Assaidi
Walters Crouch
Personally, I feel our midfield lacks some energy pushing forward and Geoff would be ideal for that, with Wilson being the only real option then at right back, another position to add to the jack of all trades.
In terms of Walters, I would play him away from home (definitely against the big teams) and at home vs the top 6. Other than that, I think Arnie would give us more, especially at home where we need the momentum on going forwards as oppose to stopping others from doing so. I'd also swap Arnie for Assaidi or Odemwingie against the big teams at home as he often seems to play better when playing against a team he may deem 'worthy'.
But that's the fun thing about footie, opinions I suppose.
What's yours?

Walters CrouchControversial, but Ryan AND Huth at the back are too immobile for me. Muniesa is the way forward. **************, that is controversial because Muniesa can't jump or head the ball. Shouldn't that be one of the most important traits of a centre half? He's also very lightweight and never really attacks the ball. Now as a footballer he's pretty good, very good touch and can read the game quite well however in The Premier League at centre back week in, week out i can't see him as the way forward personally mate. I understand your sentiment though because Huth has looked very slow, in a Matthew Upson stylee almost this season. Ryan's had his work cut out with the players he's played alongside and come through fantastically well but if it's a straight up choice between Robert Huth or Marc Muniesa at CB i'd say Huth every time. Now Marc Wilson? That's another kettle of fisheries. EDIT: I've only just noticed that you've got Adam as captain?? Sorry, that makes no sense, you're taking the captaincy off Ryan Shawcross?

Suddenly no takers for a Guidetti start then.
Looks like a(no)dropped bollock from the window, especially as TP seems to be using Ince as an inside FWD option.
Anyway, this should be fun:
Begovic
Huth Ryan Pieters
Cameron Muniesa
Assaidi Adam Arnie
Crouch
Odemwingie
Note the triple A rated Midfield.

Guess it depends if you want Crouch in the side - has done nothing wrong for me of late, works hard, and is starting to find the net after a barren spell.
Begovic Cameron Shawcross Huth Pieters Odemwinge Adam NZonzi Assaidi Arnie Crouch
Its a case of do you want to attack, or force Arnie to drop back when defending as Walters does
Or
Begovic Cameron Shawcross Huth Pieters Arnie Adam NZonzi Assaidi Walters (for workrate) Odemwinge
Or you keep JW in the side for his workrate alone - for me we should be moving on from that
Alas for the WWW their days must surely be numbered at the club, cheers for the contribution boys, never forgotten but it really is time to move on.

Charlie was Captain last week wasn't he, and we need a midfield Captain in my view. I like senior players in the role too. It's Ryan and Huth together that kills it for me - too wooden. If we lose Bego, i'd go back on what I'm suggesting, it's a very close call though.

The BBC match report for the Saints game said "Skipper Charlie Adam..." but that was wrong Ryan is a fantastic captain in my opinion, he's also one of our most consistently good players this season, Mr. Reliable, carries the defence and team at times and he is senior in terms of Stoke City FC. He's been here, and playing here for 6 and a half years. Can't understand anyone wanting to take the captaincy off him at all but there you go.

Begovic Cameron Huth Shawcross Pieters Arnautovic Whelan Adam Assaidi Crouch Odemwingie Funny, I was only thinking this morning that this would be my first choice. We really missed someone with pace alongside Crouch last night and for me this should be our team playing against a side like Swansea.

It's got to be about 14 not 11 these days... subs have to be part of the game plan rather than just injury replacements.
Hence Crouch, Odemwingie and Adam would start, but 60 mins in they would be replaced by Guidetti, Arnie, and Ireland respectively.

Guidetti after 60 mins???
How the fuck is he going to last 30 mins?
Playing to the group's strengths is far more important.

I'm confident we will see a player on less heavy pitches... you are by all accounts "carrying a bit of condition" (no offence meant), don't you find it easier on good to firm going ?

Cameron Ryan Huth Muniesa Pieters
Odemwingie Adam Arnie
AssaidiCrouchI'd like to try Assaidi inside. His crossing is suspect. The strong back line won't ask Odemwingie or Arnie to do as much when defending, and they should be able to move forward aggressively. Pieters' lack of crossing ability isn't ideal at fullback, as I'd ask the fullbacks to move forward and overlap a great deal. And given my username, I might move Huth back a bit behind Ryan and Muniesa, but so long as we've got Bego we should be ok.
