Is it just me, or is he totally different to how the media made him look? He sounds like a decent guy from everything I've read / heard him say but for the past year I've felt like he's a right dickhead.

He always interviewed well when he was at the Baggies. He's an educated articulate bloke - and he kept his cool when he first arrived from Russia following some pretty disgusting racist comments from the fans of his previous club.
As far as the QPR incident is concerned, I doubt he just got it into his head that it would be a good idea to drive to Loftus Road. He must have been told by the Baggies that a deal was on the cards. Obviously, the Baggies changed their mind but it is quite possible that they "forgot" to tell Wingie. The media will have built it up into a big story (with him as the fall guy) because that is what sells papers.

He seems to smile a lot during games. Then again if I was earning the same,so would I.

As I watch the Swansea - Baardiff match and see KJ moping and walking about I really love that January bit of business to bring in Pwingy, he's been a great addition to the squad and is very fast in becoming one of my favorites on the sheet.

Seems like a similar story could have been on the cards with Catermole, but Blunderland phoned him half way here.

Yep West Brom could have issued a statement saying there was a lack of communication but they didn't.Its pretty clear that him or his agent thought he could push through a move without having permission from his employers. Pretty dumb ass decision for an 'educated and articulate' guy

He certainly enjoyed himself today and played really well and took his goal well.
He also enjoyed the support he got from us today!

Like most people, he's clearly got a good and a bad side. He's admitted he was a bit of a twat last year, which is in his favour. Though not as much as what he did today

Absolutely mate. Gotta say, I was nervous about us signing him but boy did he put in a (mother fookin') shift for the team today - first class effort from the lad.

He looks like he will do well for us,been given another chance and becoming a valued stoke player will be the best move he has ever made.

If you read an interview just after he came here he refers to going to QPR and how this time he made no comment or move until it was a done deal. Seems like he was at best kept in the dark over the proposed move to QPR. The more he plays for us and the more I hear him speak the more I think we have made a very decent signing.

He's been superb so far and gives me new found hope for the games remaining. We look like creating chances when he's on. He's looking to get in the middle off the shoulder of defenders.
Hopefully we'll soon see him as the main striker in away games

he does the best he can for the team, and shows the fans how much he appreciates the chance by working hard, whats not to like? Had a few resevations when he did sign, purely because we didnt know what we were going get in return....one thing though he is no mard arse who walks around looking at the floor when he doesnt have the ball.

what are the odds on Wingie scoring the goal against WBA that sends them down? And then does a lap of the pitch, smiling and waving bye bye to all the fans, then takes a dump in their dugout
