He seems a straight up bloke, so he may do the decent thing and finish the season before he walks. They have all the makings of a club desperately trying to drag themselves into a relegation.

There's nothing to see. I reckon he'll leave in the Summer anyway but Gary Monk being handed a more formal coaching role after years of service isn't anything to get upset about.

Tell you what strikes again.
Idiot people thinking that as soon as you have one purple patch that you can suddenly walk on water.
Most our fans simply thought he was great because Swansea were above us in the league last season.

He's going to live in a house in the countryside with Mike Newell and Owen Coyle.
In the really funny episodes, George Burley comes to visit.

Here in Denmark most people think that the sun shines out of Michael Laudrups arse, and that he is the greatest coach in the World.
Truth is, that he has a habbit of picking a confrontation whit chairman, board or the director of football at all of the clubs he has been with. He always starts out well, but within 18 months it turns sour. It happened at Getafe, Moscow and Mallorca - and probably now again at Swansea

The curse of the Europa League strikes again? Or letting one of Your Ki players leave and signing David N'Gog. He's just been sacked, gutted.

@juliette_grace: Statement says @garrymonk16 will take up the reigns as head coach alongside current first team coach Alan Curtis for the foreseeable future.
Wow that's a risk he's never managed at any level

Things must have been bad behind the scenes.
Looks like they're going with Monk until the end of the season then? risky business... Terry Connor/Shearer/??? a relegation battle is not a time for a manager with no experience

We always seem to play teams soon after they have removed a manager!
I think this one might work in our advantage this time.

I take it that Monk was appointed as coach with the idea that he'd take over straight away then, like Meulensteen at Fulham.

Funny reading the last piece of the BBC report from this morning:
However, club chairman Huw Jenkins has rejected reports that Laudrup's position is under discussion. "I haven't heard anything in reference to Michael and neither have we met, or discussed, or done anything about Michael," said Jenkins. "A couple of us did actually meet up on Sunday morning to have a cup of coffee like we normally do. That's as simple as it was. That's where the first rumour came from. "It's difficult for me to say anything because there isn't anything to discuss."
Then by the end of the day they sack him.
