just sat next to a bloke on the bus who had a warrior shirt on, dont know what team it was, it may have been a rugby top by looking at the material and collar, it was black and red striped. it looked good, kind of like this if you changed the black stripes to white. www.toffs.com/stoke-city-1975-1976-retro-football-shirt-6(dont know how to insert pictures) they seem to go down the retro route with home shirts, shame the away ones the churn out for Liverpool etc are abysmal!

The home kits liverpool have had do seem quite smart and at least with the away kit you wont feel like youre wearing a template

Allegedly, yes. Adidas deal is up and Warrior are the only name I've seen linked so far.

Adidas traing gear pisses all over anything anyone else churns out. Training gear. I'm not Tony Pulis, jeans and a T Shirt is fine for me. Strange how so many people walking round in training gear don't look like they've done any training in the last god knows how many years. And bald fat blokes walking round in football shirts. Do they realise what they look like?

Liverpool's away kit is a horror though. Why cant we have Nike? I thought Liverpool's away kit was quite a clever design. The shape of the black bit at the bottom of the front of the shirt looks like a black bloke having his shirt pulled when in fact he is not from the side view. Not much help if you're not black like.

If you're a bloke of a certain age and stature and wear that stuff its upto you but I can tell you without seeing it you look a twat in it.

Stick with Adidas but get them to design something specific for SCFC. Steer clear of Warrior and Umbro.
I have a training jumper (that I use for sport) and to be honest it's of good quality and durable.
Football shirts aren't exactly made for quality are they.

You obviously have not seen me in my Stoke Adidas presentation suit at my U-6's matches prancing up and down the touchline yelling"come on son" for 40 minutes every Sateeday morning ....

I am not too fussed about the manufacturer as long as they obey the Stoke City kit rules:
1. it is white with red stripes, not vice versa (we are not Sunderland or Brentford), so predominantly white, with white collar and cuffs and wide, not barcode, stripes. 2. there must be a central white stripe on the front and a striped, not plain, or number in a box, back. 3. no more "iron on" sponsor logos - we are not a Sunday league outfit! 4. SCFC badge on left chest, your logo on right chest, none of this central logo nonsense. 5. we can have all white or all red socks, but not horizontal stripes, we are not a stick of rock! 6. away kit: nothing too garish or made up of patchworks of what you have left (see Liverpool's purple monstrosity), just a classy retro style, maybe with a diagonal sash harking back to the early 70s. 7. we require a bespoke kit, not one straight out of the catalogue - we are a Premier League team and deserve personalised service. 8. do not dare run out of kit supplies by November!
Any I've forgotten?

I see Everton have announced a 5 year deal with Umbro. I thought Nike had swallowed Umbro up?
Or is it a sponsorship deal, as a pose to a kit manufacturers deal?

Nike bought them, stole the England deal, then sold Umbro on

If you're a child of the 70s and early 80s Adidas has a certain something that Nike or Warrior (who?) just can't achieve. It's heritage or something.
