Comments about Sunderland game guys and gals first? Not many of us there, very cold. First 25/30 mins poor, but afterwards much better, definitely deserved something out of the game, we showed great character very unlucky.

Comments about Sunderland game guys and gals first? Bloody unlucky and damn unfair! Never seen a performance quite like it with 10 men.

Any update on the injuries we picked up yesterday?

Nzonzi doesn't contribute enough in my opinion. He isn't positive enough, when he gets the ball, he either passes sideways or backwards and very rarely looks to create any attacking threat.

Comments about Sunderland game guys and gals first? Apart from the first 25 minutes(which cost us the game), i thought we played well. Should of got at least a point and played very well when down to 10 men.

So what do we all think about Pizza gate and Cartwright and Scholes playing unto the media.
I think if / when we stay up these two clowns need to walk and our scouting and transfer policy needs to improve drastically.

N'Zonzi doesn't do enough off the ball and we lose a lot more of our battling side than we think we do. Yesterday backs that up. A fantastic battling performance in midfield. Would we have had that with N'Zonzi in there?
With the ball it is a little harsh to say that all he does is pass the ball sideways and backwards because of our lack of movement in forward positions. Very few of our midfield players play forward balls too often. N'Zonzi is no different in that respect.

I was really impressed with Odemwingie yesterday, made a couple of mistakes in terms of passing early on but didn't let it get to him, and from then on had a fantastic game. He kept running and chasing every ball until the end, also he Tracked back well, and covered Cameron very well when he went on runs up the field.

N'Zonzi
Very skilful player
Wants to dictate the midfield - some of his back / sideways passes have played our own players into trouble' especially Whelan
Cramping Adams style?,
Needs to get back in the team on merit
If / when he does return, he needs to show the attacking style of his play and be prepared to shoot! and chase back.

I am pretty sure it was just dorsets attempt at humour. I think they thought the winger deal was in the bag.

I believe N'Zonzi is more concerned about his opta stats than Stoke City F.C. Hence his increasingly irksome habit of unnecessary over complicated 3 yard passes that are all either sideways or backwards, but virtually never forward. We certainly looked better yesterday without his drag co-efficient slowing down our play.

For the Southampton game, i would keep exactly the same team(as long as Arnie and Walters are fit). I thought Adam would not work in a midfield 2 but he arguably had his best game for us, so would definitely keep him alongside whelan in CM with Nzonzi on the bench

Whelan is not inconsistent, its because you don't see him driving forward, he does the dirty side (tackling, tracking back etc) very well. Seems to come out of his shell when he isn't play next to N'zonzi also.
Formation change seemed to help many players out especially Arnie , glad fans were finally seeing what some of us have been seeing for a while.

Transfer window
It lasts for all 31 days in January.
We did get Odemwinge, Guidetti on loan made Ireland a permanent signing - maybe we would be feeling a bit more positive if these deals were done on friday?
We have got Agudelo on our books
We did NOT SELL Bego, Shawcross, Cameron, Walters etc
Jones and Pennant are off the payroll
Diouf could have been a good signing
Riviere don't really know much about him? potentially a good deal, can we go back for him in the summer?
Yesterday results made Friday seem OK imo
Not convinced that Cattermole would have enhanced the clubs reputation

Absolutely massive result yesterday and huge credit to all the playing staff for stepping up.
(Just imagine if we'd have been rolled over, what that would have done to our confidence.)
Contrast that with the fiasco that went on (or actually didn't go on) behind the scenes with our 'crack' transfer team.
What a bunch of clowns (and that doesn't assume it has anything to do with fast food) does anyone know, if anyone is being held to account over this mismanagement?

Our transfer policy generally appears to be an absolute shambles yet again. We used to complain that it was due to Pulis dithering and /or chasing unrealistic targets, but the only real constant appears to be Tony Scholes, now ably abetted by Cartwright. They have had months since the summer transfer window to get player transfers sorted, not just the month of the January transfer window.

Wether it was a pizza or not makes no difference and yesterday's result does not change the farce of a transfer window we had. Cartwright's worldwide scouting network is not what it's cracked up to be.

Why were all the Coates in on Friday? Regardless of our business, other teams around us haven't strengthened that much. I just hope come the Summer, he gets the proper backing.

Hughes has had no real backing in both transfer windows, and it is clear that we do need some real maintenance in the first team/squad.
Are we all really confident that the policy will change sufficiently in the next summer window (assuming we stay up) to allow us to bring in the players that Hughes really wants ?

Scholes and Cartwright were playing on Football Manager.....Cartwright was punching the air as he secured Stoke's premier league status.
