Is there any chance he'll be in their world cup, er, roster? Depends on form, altidore and Johannsen are the main two,in the squads from Dec to march they're using only mls players due to their season not being in play so wondolowksi is playing well in them games, and they're using a few debutents too, all depends on form really if he can keep it up and get in th squad in the friendlies just before wc

After doing a quick search, I'd like to say I was the first to mention Agudelo on here back in 2011, ahead of the game me! Your not on the naughty prejudice list either lol that's for sure.

Add in the difference in MLS start dates ugh Tbh I'd rather he play more eiredivisie matches then get involved in that mess.

Is there any chance he'll be in their world cup, er, roster? Highly unlikely. Ahead of him are: Altidore, Dempsey, Johnson, Johansson, Wondo, and then probably Donovan, Gomez, and Terrence Boyd too.

I think it's safe to say that if Juan continues scoring in the Eredivisie he'll have a great chance to shoot up that list. Not saying he'll make it, but Klinnsman likes young players in form who can change a game.

In the long run, I can't help but feel that the work permit issue and the loan move is a blessing in disguise. He will get more starts and won't be written off simply for not being selected at Stoke. The Dutch league is clearly a step up from the MLS and will hopefully help to improve his confidence when he eventually arrives. Not wanting to tempt fate but the Dutch league has both produced and helped to develop countless talented footballers....

Dare I say that technically it is a step up from the Prem? You can say it, but you'd be wrong I mean it is a more "technical" league. Not better overall mind you, but in a technical sense. I am the first to say the Prem is the best league in the world.

Technique notwithstanding, the Prem is a step up from the Dutch League taking everything into account. Even a player like Suarez (arguably one of the top 3 strikers in the world despite his acting and cheating)) didn't find it all plain sailing when he first went to Liverpool. His first season was ok, but he wasn't nearly as prolific as he became after he had had a year to adjust to the English game.

Having to aclimatise doesn't always mean having to get better though, and I think the Premier League is overrated truth be told. Depends what you mean by overrated. I suppose you would possibly find more very highly skilled players in the Spanish or German leagues. But I doubt you would find the combination of good players AND a competitive league in either Spain or Germany that you do in the Prem. Both those leagues have 1 or 2 super teams and maybe 1 or at the most 2, others who are ahead of the pack. The Prem now has a much more competitive top 4 or 6 teams combined with a bottom half where the relegation candidates can be any 3 from 10 or 11. Yet all of those 10 or 11 teams at the bottom can, on their day, claim a top 4 scalp. As I said, if you wanted to pick 11 "galacticos" then Spain or Germany would be the best place to go but to watch competitive football at a high level with a significant element of dog eat dog, the Prem wins the day. Don't take my word for it - look at the viewing figures - a billion live viewers is not uncommon for a Premier League game.

Is the Premier League overated?
I think it is
is it better than Spanish or German Leagues?
no (all about the same overall only we pay miles more for it)
& yet it is continually (mostly by itself mind) described as THE best league in the world

The only two strikers from the USA who are guaranteed to be at the World Cup are Jozy Altidore and Aaron Johannsson. After that, Agudelo is in competition with guys like Eddie Johnson, Terrence Boyd, and Chris Wondolowski. I think he has a real chance to get on the roster. We'll see.
