some very good control from a difficult ball out of defence….
From what I can see, if the midfield pushed up more they could profit from some of his hold up play…
A run just ended up with him being crowded out.
He's got pace to burn and should have just steamed passed the full back but decided to cut in...

Last knockings….free kick but comes to nothing
F/T 1-1
Lots of positives for the lad and if he keeps it simple we've got a seriously good player on our hands.

Interestingly he's in my u-21 team on Footy Manager so they must have thought he'd signed for us when they created the squads.

He is in mine too on football manager Interestingly (Well to football manager players anyway) I downloaded the new transfer update from the internet earlier today and that 15 year old Belgian Julien Ngoy is in Stokes under 18's and his potential is massive on the game! He instantly gets called upto Belgium under 21's

From what I saw of Juan today I was most impressed with how he performed as a target man. Hope Crouchie was watching, the lad won his fair share of battles in the air and was not knocked around like a Wet noodle all night. I liked the runs he was making and t hought for his debut he played very well. Technically that Eredivisie is a top league. As depressed as some saw this window I think Juan signing was more important for our future than Cattermole or that Stade Rennaise geezer.

I agree completely Saw him make his debut as a sub against Roda the other day and thought he looked decent and again earlier he looked really good. Agree about the technique in the Eredivisie as well, seems a really under-rated league.

What I like about this is that from the flick on he moves to support the bloke he's played in for any rebound or a chance to nick it. Great to see.

Agree about the technique in the Eredivisie as well, seems a really under-rated league. Fair comments lucas…..people take the piss somewhat about the strength of the league. From what Ive seen in the lower leagues, theres a lot of technical stuff going on right down to the junior leagues. My lad plays for a club called DOS '37 www.dos37.nl. Its just some amateur tin pot club. If you click on teams you can see all the age groups and teams they have. This is just a tiny village in the East of Holland. If you look at the facilities though, they're really top notch with 4G astro pitches all round and loads of other stuff. The technical aspects get drummed into them really early on - instead of some dads yelling on the sideline telling the little uns to "CLEAR IT" Going off topic there a bit but back to your point theres a lot going for the Dutch league….some REAL hidden gems
