He slows the play down, passes backwards and sideways

I know but how awkward is it considering he is such a talented player?!

I loved him today cos he wasn't playing and without him we looked a zillion times better. I hope he continues to enjoy his stint on the sidelines.

What's with all the N'Zonzi bashing on here tonight?
Has he fucked everyone's missus or something? Jesus.

He's still a very good player.
It's good to have a bit of competition in the middle now with Adam showing he can play there,

Frustrating because he has great talent but like a typical Frenchman lacks bottle but has plenty of arrogance I don't get it!

We have pace and forward passing without him.
He has talent but cannot move forward for some reason....

We looked better without him his first action when he gets the ball is stop and go back everytime. He is a great player just not forward thinking

We looked better without him his first action when he gets the ball is stop and go back everytime. He is a great player just not forward thinking There's no doubt he's a talent and if he plays to his potential we would be better with him in the team, unfortunately Pulis couldn't get regular performances out of him and so far neither can Hughes. It's up to the coaching staff and the manager to educate and instruct him to play more positively, until he changes his negative approach and speeds the passes up he needs a spell on the bench, and he should stop the sulking petulant behaviour when things don't go his way.

We seemed better without him after his red at Sunderland and much more go-forward without him yesterday as well. Maybe a spell on the bench ?

There is a reason why Blackburn were relegated with him in midfield
There is also a reason why nobody else was interested in him when he signed for us
We are better off without him

Sometimes its to our advantage to slow the play down, in which case, he has a part to play. But yesterday was not his day and we were better off without him.
There was a bodies-on-the-line die-for-the-shirt mentality yesterday that several times kept the ball out of our net. Nzonzi would not have been part of that fraternity.

I started a thread about whether Fonzi should be in the starting 11 a little while ago.
General consensus was that it would be an idea to bench him for a game or two and see how we play without him. After the Manure performance it seems we were right. I'll be disappointed if MH puts him straight back into the team and his stock will go down a few points in my opinion too.
Scholes out!

Been wanting to see a midfield without him for a while now and whilst I appreciate what he brings to the squad at times, he can slow games to a standstill at the wrong times. Our counter attacks worked brilliantly yesterday to to the speed we set them up. Having that dynamic with Odemwingie on the wing helped a lot too.

No disrespect to him but we were better without him before and we're better without him now. I reckon there's a team somewhere that suits him, but it's never worked properly with him and Stoke.

Thats a bit strong, he's had performances where he shown what a bloody good player he could be for us but somehow this negative mentality seems to be his default setting. I'd hope that good man management could demonstrate to N'Zonzi the sort of play we need to see more of from him but obviously he's one that needs handling with kid gloves as anything else would just end up in a strop and loads of sulking ang mopeing.
